Chinese character teaching is an important part of the Chinese teaching as a foreign language,meanwhile it is also a significant difficulty.Especially for the non-Chinese learners,Chinese character is a special ideo-phonographic writing system different from the alphabetic writing memorized by the letter pronunciation.Alphabetic writing mainly bases on auditory perception,while Chinese characters mainly based on visual perception.This inherent difference makes it difficult to learn in cognition and culture.Chinese Puzzle is a kind of riddle that the answer is Chinese character,which is a unique language culture phenomenon of the Han nationality.The Chinese puzzle applied to the Chinese characters teaching as a foreign language not only reveals the structure rule of Chinese characters through the riddle,but also combines the meaning of Chinese characters,gives the teaching knowledge and interestingness,improves the Chinese character perceived ability and learning efficiency of the non-Chinese learners in the initial stage.At present,although there are some researches related to the study of Chinese puzzle,Chinese character teaching,non-Chinese Chinese character teaching etc..The combination of these contents which is really suitable for the practical application and teaching design of Chinese characters in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and bases on this is very deficient.Through the relevant research at home and abroad,this paper analyzes type,definition and the principle of Chinese puzzle,summarizes the theoretical basis and advantages of the Chinese puzzle applied to language teaching,and analyzes its problems and suggestions for improvement from the three dimensions of the teaching materials,teaching and curriculum on the analysis of that Chinese puzzle on the basis of the previous achievements.It's thought that as a new form of teaching Chinese characters,although at this stage there are still some problems of Chinese puzzle,its application in language teaching,especially as a supplement to Chinese characters teaching,is completely feasible.Therefore,the paper explores the compiling principle of Chinese puzzle that is applied to the teaching Chinese characters,it turns out to be applicable,proper amount,practical and interesting.And it assemblies four levels of Chinese Characters Outline according to the standard to provide teaching materials for Chinese puzzles teachers.Finally,the paper designs the puzzle teaching cases,and discusses the teaching mode of the application of Chinese puzzle to the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners.Ultimately from three dimensions of the "before class,in class,after class",it preliminarily designs teaching case design table.I hope this research can make some helps to provide reference for the development of Chinese puzzle teaching applied in the teaching of Chinese characters.
