Since the 1980 s,as the "Chinese language fever" continues to heat up,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has also been booming,and the construction of teaching materials has also gained a good development,the number and types of teaching materials have increased greatly.As one of the four major aspects of teaching activities,the preparation of teaching materials plays a crucial role in the "teaching" of teachers and "learning" of students,especially in the case of comprehensive teaching materials,the quality of which directly affects the teaching effect.The elementary Chinese learning stage is the beginning of the whole Chinese learning process,the vocabulary as an important language unit,is crucial in the elementary learning stage.Therefore,it is also necessary to study the vocabulary in the textbook.This thesis selects the primary chapters of the comprehensive textbooks "Boya Chinese" and "Developing Chinese",and conducts a comparative study on the vocabulary in the two sets of textbooks,in order to provide some references for the textbook compilation.The thesis is divided into three parts according to the structure:The first part is the introduction,which discusses the research background,research origins,research meaning,research status and research methods of this thesis.The second part is the theoretical basis for the comparative analysis of the vocabulary of the elementary comprehensive textbooks.Mainly expounds the theories for evaluating the number of vocabulary,vocabulary level,vocabulary interpretation and the arrangement of vocabulary exercises,including the reference basis for the number and level of vocabulary in the textbook,the theoretical basis of vocabulary recurrence rate and parameter standards,the basis of vocabulary interpretation and vocabulary practice,laid the foundation for the following research.The third part is the main body of the thesis,which is discussed in four chapters.Chapter 3mainly counts the number of vocabularies and vocabulary grades of the two sets of textbooks.Using the number of vocabularies and grades in "Syllable Chinese Characters Vocabulary Grades for Chinese International Education" as the reference standard,the two sets of teaching materials are compared and analyzed.And on this basis,suggestions on the number of vocabulary and the arrangement of grades for the elementary comprehensive textbook are put forward.Chapter 4 uses Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve as the theoretical basis to explain the importance of vocabulary reproduction.The text is used as the statistical content of the vocabulary recurrence rate,and the vocabulary recurrence rate in the two sets of textbooks is compared and analyzed,then I put forward suggestions to improve the recurrence rate of the vocabulary of the textbook.Chapter 5 compares the vocabulary definitions in the two sets of textbooks,and conducts comparative research from three aspects: part-of-speech tagging,vocabulary paraphrase models,and paraphrase objects,and then makes suggestions for the vocabulary paraphrases in the comprehensive textbook.Chapter 6 compares the two sets of textbooks from the volume and type of vocabulary exercises,and on this basis,I proposes suggestions for the arrangement of vocabulary exercises in the beginner’s comprehensive textbook.Finally,I summarizes the content of the thesis and points out the shortcomings.
