A Report On The Translation Of A New Astronomy

Astronomy is a subject that studies the celestial bodies,structures and development of the universe.Since the history of human civilization,astronomy has played an important role.Astronomy serves the production and life of human beings.Since the beginning of history,the research of astronomy has great practical significance for human survival and social progress,and also has a great influence on the view of human nature.Therefore,it is necessary for people to study its related knowledge and promote its wide spread.A New Astronomy is a scientific work published in 2018 by David peck Todd,a famous American astronomer.It mainly introduces the knowledge of astronomy in professional and simple language which includes the geometrical concept of the celestial sphere and its relation to astronomical instruments.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the first three chapters of the book are taken as translation material,and the translation of scientific and technological texts under this theory is discussed.From the lexical level,the syntactic level and the discourse level,this report analyzes the explicit translation,the implicit translation and other translation strategies under the guidance of Skopos theory.Through the combination of Skopos theory,this report can effectively provide reference value for the translation practice and research of astronomy in the future,and further enrich and enhance the translation experience of relevant texts.Figure 0;Table 1;Reference 30...
