| Textbooks are an essential part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.For students,textbooks are a carrier for learning Chinese knowledge,practicing Chinese skills and cultivating Chinese thinking.For teachers,textbooks are the main basis for knowledge explanation and class activities.The development of Chinese textbooks grown rapidly.The theoretical research on the compilation of textbooks continues to deepen,the number is growing rapidly,and the types of textbooks are rich,which can meet the basic needs of learners.However,there are still some problems in the overall textbook compilation,such as poor pertinence,poor practicability,poor practice quality,and lack of interest in the textbook.Such problems have affected the effect of learners in learning Chinese and need to be solved urgently.This paper selects two textbooks,"Intermediate Spoken Chinese 2"(Third Edition)and "New Life Chinese-Intermediate Spoken Chinese"(Part 1)published by Peking University Press for comparative study.This paper makes a comprehensive and in-depth comparison of the two textbooks from five aspects.A comparative analysis of the textbook as a whole is carried out from the aspects of writing principles and writing styles;the vocabulary volume of the textbook and the distribution of vocabulary volume,the distribution of vocabulary levels,and the related issues of vocabulary annotations are analyzed through the method of graphic display,and it is checked whether the vocabulary of the textbook meets the learners’ requirements;Analyzing whether the selection of expressions in the two textbooks is scientific and whether the layout of expressions is reasonable from the two aspects of the number and choice of expressions and the arrangement of expressions;By showing specific examples of the textbooks from the text genre,communicative role,the text theme and context creation to compare the textbook text.Summarizing how to maximize the function of the text,how to enable learners to learn language knowledge and skills consciously and subtly through the text;Finally from the amount of practice,practice types check the focus and effectiveness of the exercises in the two textbooks.At the end of each chapter,summarize the similarities and differences between the two textbooks and the problems in the compilation,so as to compare the two textbooks more intuitively.At the end of the paper,based on the problems in the two textbooks,combined with related theoretical research,suggestions on the compilation of the textbooks are given from four aspects: vocabulary,expressions,texts,and exercises.In addition,the paper believes that the use of textbooks by teachers is as important as the compilation of teaching materials,so it proposes feasible suggestions for teachers when using intermediate-level oral Chinese teaching materials.Combining textbook compilation with teachers’ use to ensure the efficiency of class teaching. |
