A Study Of The Exegesis Of "MaoShiHouJian"

In the Qing Dynasty,the trend of practical learning gradually flourished.Exegesis research is in the ascendant.Hu Chenggong,a famous scholar of textual research school in Qing Dynasty,is an important representative of Qianjia School,and has been a poor scholar all his life.He is the author of"Mao Shi Hou Jian"(《毛诗後笺》).This book is highly regarded by later scholars for its rich materials,detailed textual research and outstanding achievements in exegesis.Looking at the research of Mao Shi Hou Jian in academic circles,it only stays on the macro introduction of this book,and has not yet discussed the specific content of Mao Shi Hou Jian,especially its exegesis value.In this paper,in order to take the classic "Mao Shi Hou Jian" as the base,we mainly adopt the methods of classification description,induction,literature research and some methods of collation and exegesis,in order to sort out the contents of Mao Shi Hou Jian.This paper is mainly divided into the following six parts:The introduction mainly introduces the background of Hu Chenggong and Mao Shi Hou Jian.As well as the origin,significance and research methods of this thesis.At the same time,it combs the research status of Hu Chenggong and Mao Shi Hou Jian.The first chapter is the exegesis content of Mao Shi Hou Jian.This chapter is divided into five sections.The first section is distinguishing characters,which distinguishes the relationship between characters from three aspects: interchangeable characters,ancient and modern characters and variant characters;The second section is the interpretation of words,which analyzes Hu Chenggong’s interpretation of general parts of speech and the discrimination of synonyms.Interpretation methods include direct interpretation and indirect interpretation.Direct interpretation such as direct training,semantic boundary and description,indirect interpretation such as rhetorical interpretation;The third section is the chapter sentence,which is carried out from three aspects: clearing the sentence meaning,explaining the syntax and interpreting the text;The fourth section is to test pronunciation,explaining the phonetic notation method and rhyme style in Mao Shi Hou Jian;In the fifth section,in order to indicate the collation,the examples of different texts,proofreading,incorrect texts and strict texts of Lieutenant Colonel in Mao Shi Hou Jian are given.The second chapter is the exegesis method of Mao Shi Hou Jian.It mainly focuses on three exegesis methods: form training,sound training and righteous training.In the form training,there is evidence,meaning and simplicity;The means of sound training is mainly to seek justice according to sound,which is divided into homonym and sound proximity;In the method of righteous training,the meaning is mainly sought according to the context,and the relationship between the training and interpretation groups can be divided into three types: synonymous training,antonym training and annotation training.The third chapter is the exegesis language of Mao Shi Hou Jian.It is mainly divided into four categories: distinguishing words,interpreting words,phonetic notation words and collating words.The fourth chapter is "Mao Shi Hou Jian" and other "Shi".In the process of crawling and thinning Hu Chenggong’s words,we can find out Hu’s attitude towards the predecessors’ study of "poetry" and the treatment of "poetry",which also formed his unique exegesis view;In the second section,the author compares the three new books of the Book of Songs from three aspects: the background of writing books,the content of exegesis and the attitude of administering classics,which is the most important part of this chapter.The fifth chapter is the exegesis features and shortcomings of Mao Shi Hou Jian.On the basis of the discussion in the first four chapters,this paper further summarizes the characteristics embodied in Hu Chenggong’s exegesis study of Mao Shi Hou Jian.That is to say,the content of exegesis is widely quoted as textual research,and the choice of goodness is followed;He is good at questioning and distinguishing doubts and checking right and wrong in the way of managing poetry.Finally,it points out the shortcomings in the process of Hu Chenggong’s exegesis,for example,some interpretations are far-fetched.And I believe in Mao’s Biography,which occasionally makes the content of notes and explanations unable to be balanced.This paper tries to fully understand Hu Chenggong’s contribution to the Confucian classics in Qing Dynasty and the value of the exegesis of Mao Shi Hou Jian by systematically studying the contents involved in the exegesis of Hu Chenggong.
