The Study On Exegesis Of Jiang Fan’s Er Ya Xiao Jian

The Qing dynasty was the flourishing age of the development of exegetics,and the study of Er Ya was also in-depth.Jiang Fan’s Er Ya Xiao Jian further annotated Er Ya on the basis of the analysis of Er Ya by predecessors.This paper studies Er Ya Xiao Jian from the perspective of exegetics in order to have a deeper understanding of Er Ya and Er Ya Xiao Jian.The paper consists of the following five parts:The first chapter is introduction.It mainly includes three sections: the first section is the study of Er Ya situation to carry on the overall overview,the second section is an introduction to Jiang Fan and Er Ya Xiao Jian,and the third section is a discussion of the research status,research content and significance of this topic.The second chapter introduces the style of Er Ya Xiao Jian.The style of Er Ya Xiao Jian is basically the same as that of Er Ya.This chapter mainly analyzes the book from two aspects: arrangement style and explanation style.The third chapter arranges the content and method of Er Ya Xiao Jian,including three parts: the collation of content,the exegesis of content and the method of exegesis.the collation of content includes the emendation of font and the emendation of lost words and deuterogenic words;the exegesis of content includes discrimination of characters,explanation of word meaning and examination of things;the method of exegesis includes seeking meaning by pronunciation,confirmation from dialect and explanation by neighboring words,among which the method of seeking meaning by pronunciation is widely used.The fourth chapter describes the characteristics and value of exegesis of Er Ya Xiao Jian,which is also the key part of this paper.Its exegetical characteristics mainly include supported by sound reasons,retaining different theories,analyzing things from multiple perspectives and rigorous attitude towards scholarship;its exegetical value mainly includes supplementing Guo Pu’s Annotation of Er Ya,revising the previous annotation and explaining difficult entries complementally.The fifth chapter analyzes the shortcomings of Er Ya Xiao Jian through textual research,mainly including three aspects: incomplete annotation,improper citation and misinterpretation.Based on the above contents,this paper makes an overall analysis of Jiang Fan’s Er Ya Xiao Jian,in the hope of drawing further attention from the academic circle,so as to provide some reference for the development of the study of Er Ya and exegesis.
