With the improvement of people’s living standards,an increasing number of people begin to pursue a better cultural life.Video games,as "the ninth art",are gaining their popularity day by day.Console games are an important part of video games,and SONY PS4 is playing the leading role in console industry.Simultaneous interpretation of product launches is of great importance for overseas console companies which plan to enter Chinese market.This report selects the release of SONY’s latest PS4 series products in 2016 as the material and the interpreter conducted simulated simultaneous interpretation before writing the report.There are five parts in this report: brief introduction of interpretation task,literature review,process of interpretation task,case analysis and conclusion.There are four speakers in this release conference--SONY entertainment CEO Andrew House,PS4 chief architect Mark Cerny,the head of activision Andy Hendrickson,and the head of Bioware Aaryn Flynn.And the conference covers a lot of technical terms.This report analyzes some techniques that can be used in simultaneous interpretation of game consoles through cases analysis,including syntactic linearity,amplification,omission,vague expressions,and also studies the problems encountered in the simulated simultaneous interpretation.At the end of the report,the interpreter makes a summary of the simulated simultaneous interpretation,which has accumulated some experiences and is expected to provide some references for the simultaneous interpretation of similar topics in the future.
