A Report On Mock Simultaneous Interpretation Of “2016 New Economic Think Tank Conference”

This report is a Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation report,based on the2016 New Economic Think Tank Conference.Under the theme of “New Economy,New Governance Method,New Think Tank”,3 Chinese speakers delivered their speech on this conference.Based on the interpreting practice,this report focuses on analyzing interpreting process and the target text.Under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,the author analyzed interpretation cases from the perspective of sentences and paraphrases,explored interpreting skills in accordance with the target text,including amplification,free translation,omission,conversion,prediction,waiting,syntactic linearity and so on.In the end,the author put forward four solutions,including improving efficiency of preparation,using interpreting skills more expertly,splitting attentions more appropriately,and building a strong mind,so as to instruct future practice.
