| ObjectiveTo explore the therapeutic effect of Gegen Decoction combined with divergent shock wave in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(wind-cold-dampness type),and to analyze its therapeutic mechanism and clinical value,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment of this disease.MethodsFrom June 2020 to July 2021,the data of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, dialectically classified as wind-cold-dampness type treated in the department of Orthopedics of Hubei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were retrospectively analyzed.75 cases were met the inclusion criteria and 5 cases were excluded by the exclusion criteria,a total of 70 patients were selected for the study.According to different treatment methods, the patients were divided into three groups:group A(23 cases),group B(23 cases)and Group C(24 cases). Each group was treated for 20 days. The effective rates of the three groups were compared after treatment. The patients were followed up for 3 months after treatment, kept in touch with the patients through telephone contact, letter contact and outpatient follow-up,the recent recurrence rate(within 3 months after treatment)was calculated.VAS score,NDI index and Tanaka Jingjiu cervical spondylosis symptom scale score were observed and recorded during the follow-up period(at the end of treatment,1 month after treatment and 3 months after treatment),and the data were discussed.ResultsThere were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, disease course distribution,VAS score,NDI index and Tanaka Jingjiu cervical spondylosis symptom scale score before treatment among the three groups(P(29)0.05),which could be used for comparison of clinical efficacy. The total effective rate was 69.57% in group A,78.26% in group B and 95.83% in group C.The total effective rate in group C was significantly higher than that in groups A and B(P(27)0.05).VAS score,NDI index and Tanaka Jingjiu cervical spondylosis symptom scale score at each time point after treatment were all better than those before treatment(P(27)0.05),suggesting that the three treatment methods had certain effects on alleviating symptoms and restoring functional activities. At each time point after treatment, there were statistical differences between groups(P(27)0.05).The two groups were compared together, and at each time point after treatment, all indexes of group C were better than those of group A and group B(P(27)0.05),while there was no statistical difference between group A and group B at the above time points(P(29)0.05).The recent recurrence rate of group A was 37.50%,group B was 16.67%,and group C was 4.35%.The recent recurrence rate of group C was significantly lower than that of group A and group B(P(27)0.05),and there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P(29)0.05).ConclusionGegen decoction combined with divergent shock wave in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(wind cold dampness type)can effectively improve patients’ pain symptoms and cervical physiological function, and reduce the recent recurrence rate.It has definite therapeutic effect and high safety, which provides a clinical basis for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. |
