| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of preventing and treating axial symptoms for Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy after anterior cervical decompression with the gegen decoction.Method:The object of the study was diagnosed as low cervical spondylotic myelopathy and Anterior Cervical Decompression Combine with Bone Grafting from March 2016 to September 2017 in People’s Hospital of Fujian University of TCM,according to traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine diagnostic criteria.A total of 90 cases were completely randomized divided into three groups.Basic treatment group:30 cases for operation;experimental group:operation and gegen decoction treatment in 30 cases;control group:operation and Composite Chlorozozazone Tablets treatment in 30 cases.Of the remaining 83 participants were aged from 41~59 years old(average ages in 50.02±4.23 years old),including 52 males and 31 females. The evaluation of axial symptom level,Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA),cervical vertebra range of motion(ROM)and surface electromyography(sEMG)amplitude were recorded before operation,1 week,3 months and 6 months after operation. To observe and analyze the clinical efficacy of basic treatment group, experimental group and control group in 6 months after operation.Result:1.There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)between the two groups in preoperative general situation(gender, age, course of disease).2.Evaluation of AS level:After 1 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in AS level between the three groups(P>0.05).The incidence rate of AS in the experimental group and the control group was lower than that in the basic treatment group at 3,6 months after operation.(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the difference between the experimental group and the control group at 3,6 months after operation(P>0.05).3.JOA scores:the ODI score of the three groups at each follow-up point after operation was no significantly different(P>0.05).4.ROM:There were significant differences between the three groups of the ROM scores in the same period at 3,6 months after operation(P<0.05);the experimental group and the control group were superior to the basic treatment group(P<0.05);the comparison between the experimental group and the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05).5.SEMG amplitude:There were significant differences between the three groups of the erector and trapezius muscles average amplitude at 3,6 months after operation(P<0.05);the experimental group and the control group were superior to the basic treatment group(P<0.05);the comparison between the experimental group and the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:Gegen decoction with Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy after anterior cervical decompression, can effectively reduce the incidence of AS after operation, improve the curative effect and quality of life, and its medium-term effect is certainly worthy of clinical use. |
