Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with shock wave therapy on senile Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy, and to evaluation the clinical value of this therapy, and to provide new methods for the clinical treatment of senile Cervical Spondylotic RadiculopathyMethods:According to the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria,60 elderly patients who was diagnosed Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy were collected from December 2016 to December 2017 in Xiamen City Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine orthopaedic patients.Use the SPSS20.0 random number table to generate random numbers.Fill out random grouping card, sort number, divided into experimental group and control group,30 cases in each group.Seal the numbered card into the envelope. When patients entering the group, open one envelope and get in the group which was written on the card. The treatment lasted 4 weeks. The experimental group was treated with acupuncture combined with shock wave.Acupuncture was performed from Monday to Saturday, once a day.The shock wave was performed after acupuncture on Saturday. The control group was treated with acupuncture combined with cervical traction.Acupuncture and traction were performed once a day from Monday to Saturday.Compare the data before the treatment and 2 days after treatment:VAS Scores of the two groups before and after treatment, capping test scores of the two groups before and after treatment, speed of median nerve and ulnar nerve conduction velocity of F wave. And the data were analyzed statistically by SPSS20.0.Results:1.Baseline comparison:two groups of patients were statistically analyzed in terms of sex, age, and course of disease. There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2.There was significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).3.The comparison of the pain grade caused by the pressure top test after treatment in the two groups was also significant(P<0.05).4.EMG test:the EMG test showed significant difference between the 2 groups after the therapies(P<0.05).5.Comparison of clinical efficacy:there were significant differences in clinical efficacy between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both the experimental group(acupuncture combined with shock wave)and the control group(acupuncture combined with traction)could effectively reduce the pain of neck and shoulder, radiation pain and numbness of upper limbs and fingers in elderly patients with cervical spondylosis of nerve root.By comparing the improvement of VAS score, the pain score caused by the compression test, the F-wave conduction velocity of median nerve and ulnar nerve between the two groups,It was found that the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with shock wave was better than that of acupuncture combined with cervical traction. The method of acupuncture combined with shock wave is simple and has less adverse reactions. It can be applied to clinical practice in the future and can obtain satisfactory results.
