Clinical Evaluation Of Acupuncture Combined With Thunder Fire Moxibustion In The Treatment Of VDT Asthenopia

Objective:In this study,acupuncture combined with thunder and fire moxibustion was used to treat visual fatigue of Visual Display Terminal(VDT).By observing the changes of ocular symptoms and signs of patients before and after treatment,the clinical efficacy of this method on VDT visual fatigue was evaluated,providing an objective basis for clinical application.Methods: A total of 60 patients with VDT visual fatigue admitted to the Ophthalmology Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Chinese Medicine from November 2019 to January 2021 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The control group was treated with digitalis bicentalis diglycoside eye drops.On the basis of control group,treatment group was given acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion treatment,10 times as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment.After treatment,symptom score,tear film rupture time(Break-uptime,BUT),tear secretion test(Schirmer Ⅰ test,SIT),conjunctival blood flushing grade,close treatment time were observed in 2 groups before and after treatment,and the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with thunder and fire moxibustion in treating VDT visual fatigue was evaluated.Results:1.Baseline analysis: Before treatment,gender,age,BUT,SIT,duration of close eye use,conjunctival congestion grade and symptom score of patients in the treatment group and the control group were statistically analyzed.P>0.05 showed no statistical difference and comparability was balanced.2.Comparison of each group before and after treatment: there were statistically significant differences in BUT,SIT and close eye use time between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of the two groups after treatment: there were significant differences in BUT,SIT,close eye use time,conjunctival congestion grade and symptom score between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).4.Comparison of total effective rate: the total effective rate of the treatment group was90%,significantly effective 33.3%,effective 56.7%,ineffective 10%;In the control group,the total effective rate was 66.7%,significantly effective 13.3%,effective 53.3% and ineffective33.3%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.013 < 0.05).The curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.Conclusions:1.The clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with thunder and fire moxibustion in the treatment of VDT visual fatigue is significantly better than that of Aesculus Digitalis diglycoside eye drops alone.2.Acupuncture combined with thunder and fire moxibustion can significantly increase SIT in patients with VDT visual fatigue,prolong BUT and improve conjunctival congestion with close eye time.3.Acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion can better improve the eye discomfort symptoms than the simple western medicine group,and the long-term curative effect is good,the recurrence rate is low.
