Clinical Observation On Treating Insufficiency Of Kidney Essence Vertebrobasilar Ischemia Dizziness Type With Acupuncture By Invigorating Qi Complements Myelin

Objective: This study shows the treatment of insufficiency of kidney essence Vertebral basilar insufficiency(VBI)dizziness,through combining the therapy of invigorating Qi complements myelin with the conventional acupuncture,compared with conventional acupuncture treatment to observe and compare their curative effect.Method: Seventy-six patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,with 38 patients in each group.The control group was given acupuncture at Baihui,Fengchi,Ganshu,Shenshu,Zusanli,Xuanzhong,Taixi.On the basis of the control group,the treatment group was treated with Warm needle moxibustion at Baihui,Fenfu,Guanyuan point for 30 minutes each.The curative effect was evaluated by the DARS scal score,the vertebral basilar artery(VBA),the mean velocity(Vm),and the criteria of diagnostic efficacy of TCM,then statistical analysis was made to compare the differences between the two methods.Result:(1)A total of 74 cases were completed in this trial,of which 1 cases were excluded from the treatment group and 1 case was excluded from the control group.The two groups were comparable for there were no statistical differences in gender,age,duration of disease,pre-treatment DARS total score,and vertebral-basal artery Vm,etc.(P>0.05)(2)After treatment,the total score of DARS and Vm of vertebrobasilar artery within the group were significantly different from those before treatment(P < 0.05),and the result indicated that both groups were effective in improving symptoms and Vm of vertebrobasilar artery.(3)After treatment,the total scores of DARS and the Vm of vertebral-basal artery were obvious difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The results showed that the treatment group had advantages over the control group in improving vertigo and other symptoms and increasing the average blood flow velocity of vertebrobasilar artery.(4)After treatment,the cure rate of the treatment group was 64.86%,and that of the control group was 35.14%.According to the comparison of the cure rates of the two groups,P<0.05,it indicated that the cure rate of the treatment group was higher than the control group.Conclusion:(1)Through combining the therapy of invigorating Qi complements myelin with the conventional acupuncture can more effectively improve dizziness in Patients with insufficiency of kidney essence Vertebral basilar insufficiency.(2)Through combining the therapy of invigorating Qi complements myelin with the conventional acupuncture can more effectively regulate the vertebrobasilar blood flow velocity in Patients with insufficiency of kidney essence Vertebral basilar insufficiency.(3)Through combining the therapy of invigorating Qi complements myelin with the conventional acupuncture have higher cure rate in Patients with insufficiency of kidney essence Vertebral basilar insufficiency.
