Reliability And Validity Of The Chinese Version Of Critical Care Units Oral Health-Related Quality Of Life And Its Application

Objective:1.Chinese version of critical care units oral health-related quality of life(ccu-ohqol),to test its reliability and validity in critically ill patients,and finally form the Chinese version of oral health-related quality of life for critically ill patients.2.The critical care units oral health-related quality of life(ccu-ohqol)was used to investigate the current situation of oral health-related quality of life of severe patients in China during treatment and to explore the related influencing factors.Method:1.Contact the author and publisher of the original scale by e-mail to obtain the scale authorization.The Chinese version of oral health-related quality of life scale for critically ill patients was formed according to Brislin’s translation principle.Convenient sampling method was used to select 128 critically ill patients who were treated in ICU of a 3A hospital in Zhejiang Province from May 2020 to October 2020.The general information questionnaire and critical care units oral health-related quality of life were used,Ccu-ohqol),oral health impact profile(OHIP-14)In order to complete the reliability and validity test of ccu-ohqol scale,the Chinese version of ccu-ohqol scale was screened by item analysis.The reliability test included internal heterogeneity test,half reliability test and test-retest reliability test.The validity test included content validity test,structural validity test and aggregate validity test.2.Convenient sampling method was used to select 173 critically ill patients from November 2020 to January 2020 in a 3A hospital in Zhejiang Province for questionnaire survey.The questionnaire included general information questionnaire,critical care units oral health-related quality of life(ccu-ohqol)and Beck Scale.Spss26.0 software was used to analyze the survey results.Descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze the general data of severe patients.Univariate analysis was used to analyze the differences of oral health-related living standards of different indicators in each variable.Continuous variables included Beck score and Apache Pearson correlation analysis was used for continuous variables such as II score and length of ICU stay when answering the questionnaire,and multiple linear regression analysis was used for influencing factors of oral health-related quality of life in severe patients.Result:1.Chinese version of ccu-ohqol scale: Brislin translation model is used to translate,back translate and adjust the culture of ccu-ohqol scale step by step.The Chinese version of ccu-ohqol scale contains 21 items,three parts and nine dimensions.The results of item analysis showed that the decision values of high and low segments of items in Chinese version of ccu-ohqol were higher than those in Chinese Version(P < 0.05).The content validity index of the scale level was0.924,and the content validity index of each item level was.Exploratory factor analysis extracted three common factors,which could explain 65.727% of the total variation,and each item had a large factor load(>0.40).The total score of Chinese version of ccu-ohqol was positively correlated with OHIP-14,which had good aggregate validity.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the total table is 0.882,and the Cronbach’s α coefficient of each part is 0.850,0.701 and 0.834.3.Application of ccu-ohqol scale in critically ill patients: in this study,the score of oral health-related quality of life of critically ill patients was 10.57±14.67,the score of oral satisfaction was-0.52±2.67(-4～4),the score of oral function was 3.80±5.16(-4～20),the score of oral symptoms was 4.37±3.21(-4～ 20),the score of social impact was 1.30±1.20(0 ～4),and the score of self-efficacy was 0.05 16±3.04(-4～8),and the score of mental state was 0.73±0.96(0～4);the scores of oral health-related quality of life in different age groups and groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between oral Beck score and oral health-related quality of life in severe patients(P<0.05).Linear regression analysis: age,recent intubation experience,disease type and Beck oral score were the main influencing factors of oral health-related quality of life in severe patients,and the four variables explained 56.6% of the total variation.Conclusion:1.In this study,the English version of ccu-ohqol scale was translated into Chinese,and the Chinese version of ccu-ohqol scale with good reliability and validity was initially formed.The evaluation indexes of the scale can meet the requirements of scale metrology in China,and can be used to measure the oral related quality of life of critically ill patients in China2.The level of oral health-related quality of life of severe patients in China is average.About30% of sober patients think that their oral health-related quality of life is not high,which is affected by many factors.The main influencing factors are age,recent oral tracheal intubation experience,disease types and Beck oral score.It is suggested that clinical workers should pay attention to the oral care of patients with endotracheal intubation and patients without endotracheal intubation,pay attention to patients with poor oral health-related quality of life,and improve the quality of life of patients.
