Research Of The Reliability And Validity Analysis Of The Chinese Version Of COMOT-15 In Patients With COM

Objective: To explore reliability and validity of Chinese version of COMOT-15 in Patients with COM.Methods: Part 1 The English version of COMOT-15 was translated into Chinese.We did preliminary experiments on 20 patients with COM, according to the patients’ understanding of the problem and feedback, to modify the scale, eventually forming the Chinese version of COMOT-15. Part 2 The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of COMOT-15 was tested on a sample of 95 Patients with COM. We used SPSS22.0 application of statistical software for data analysis, by analyzing the scale project, content validity, criterion validity, factor analysis, reliability, internal consistency reliability to evaluate the reliability and validity of it. Part 3 The Chinese version of COMOT-15 for confirmatory factor analysis on a sample of 187 COM patients, using AMOS17.0 application of statistical software for data analysis to evaluate the rating scale of basic model separately, the fit of the whole, the fit of the inner.Results: Part 1 The Chinese version of chronic otitis media assessment scale by experts, semantic analysis, preliminary experiment, the results show that the scale covers the COM disease symptoms, the psychological and quality of life, each entry language easy to understand, the cultural background of the expression is suitable for our country COM patients. Part 2 The correlation coefficients between each item score and the total score ranged from 0.422 to 0.744. The content validity index was 0.926.Three factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,which could explain 64.552%of total variance. The criterion validity was 0.583.The coefficient internal consistency was 0.874 and the reliability was 0.906.Part 3 The Chinese chronic otitis media assessment scale verified and factor analysis, the results show that the revised simulated fitting ideal: included in the analysis of the factors of 13 items load in 0.83 or higher, the model parameters estimated test were statistically significant; Revised the fit of the model of overall evaluation indexes in addition to the chi square value below the judgment standard, chi square/df, RMSEA, GFI, AGFI, NFI, CFI, IFI achieves judgment criteria; the AVE ranged from 0.70 to 0.74, the construct reliability ranged from 0.89 to 0.97, suggesting that the fit of the model within good.Conclusion: Chinese version COMOT-15 has a good reliability and validity, and is suitable to measure quality of life in patients with COM in china.
