Object: By observing the clinical effect of treating chronic urticaria with acupuncture and cupping at Shenque acupoint based on the theory of spleen and stomach, this study aims to provide the patients with chronic urticaria with the treatment plan of significant curative effect, safe and practical, economical and inexpensive,so as to improve the quality of life of the patients. Methods: In this study,80 patients with chronic urticaria who met the inclusion criteria in the dermatology department and acupuncture department of Hebei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into two groups by the random number table method: There were 40 cases in the control group,2 cases of shedding, and 40 cases in the treatment group,2 cases of shedding. The control group was treated with 8mg Acrivastine Capsules orally three times a day, while the treatment group was treated with acupuncture and cupping at Shenque acupoint on the basis of the control group.Acupuncture and cupping are treated 3 times a week, both groups received 1 course of treatment for 4 weeks and 2 courses of treatment in total.Analyze the results after 2 courses of treatment in all cases, the total response rate of the two groups was compared, and the changes of Urticaria Activity Score(UAS),Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQl),and total Immunoglobulin E(total Ig E)were observed before and after treatment.Follow-up was performed at 2nd,4th,and 8th weeks after stopping treatment to understand the relapse status of the cured patients and evaluate the long-term efficacy of the two groups of programs.Results:1.Comparison of clinical efficacy: the total effective rate after treatment was 97.37% in the treatment group and 86.84% in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of Urticaria Activity Score(UAS): the UAS score of the two groups after treatment decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison of Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQl)score: The DLQI score of the two groups after treatment decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of total Immunoglobulin E(total Ig E): Total Ig E decreased in both groups after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups after treatment and before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Comparison of recurrence rates: Recurrence during follow-up for patients who achieved healing after treatment in both groups rate statistics showed that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison of recurrence rates between the 2nd,4th,and 8th weeks of follow-up showed that the recurrence rates of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group at the 4th and 8th week of follow-up(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The treatment of acupuncture and cupping at Shenque acupoint combined with western medicine from the spleen and stomach theory and simple western medicine both can effectively improve the clinical symptoms such as wind group and itching, but the treatment of acupuncture combined with Shenque acupoint cupping and western medicine from the spleen and stomach theory is superior to the treatment of western medicine alone.2.The combination of acupuncture with cupping at Shenque acupoint and western medicine from spleen and stomach theory was better than western medicine alone in reducing the total Ig E level.3.The combination of acupuncture with cupping at Shenque acupoint and western medicine from the theory of spleen and stomach can better reduce the recurrence rate of patients with chronic urticaria, prolong the recurrence time, improve the quality of life, and have good safety. |
