| ObjectiveThis study observes the clinical efficacy of Tongyuan acupuncture technique in the treatment of melasma of spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation,observes and evaluates the size of the skin lesions before and after treatment,the shallowness of the color and the changes in traditional Chinese medicine’s syndromes such as appetite,abnormal complexion,etc.The clinical efficacy,safety and superiority of the treatment of spleen-deficiency and dampness-type melasma,seeking safe and effective new ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of this disease.MethodsThis study selected volunteers from February 2020 to December 2020 in the Acupuncture Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,acupuncture rehabilitation center,and volunteers recruited through the Internet such as WeChat,and 66 patients were recruited strictly according to the standards.Using the method of randomized controlled trial,it was divided into treatment group(Tongyuan acupuncture group)and control group(Western medicine treatment group),with 33 cases in each group.The treatment group selected Tongyuan acupuncture for Tongdu Tiaoshen and Yinqi Guiyuan main points Such as Baihui,Dazhui,Ganshu,Pishu,Shenshu,Guanyuan,Zusanli,Zhongwan,Tianshu,Sanyinjiao,Taibai etc.for acupuncture.This treatment is given 3 times a week by 55 minutes each time once every 2 days,four weeks as a course of treatment.The control group used hydroquinone cream once in the morning and evening on the affected area and took both vitamin C 200mg and vitamin E capsules 100mg three times a day.It is also a four-week course of treatment.On the 28th day,the patient’s facial skin lesion area,color change and total score of concurrent symptoms were recorded,data statistics were made,and the results were obtained to evaluate the efficacy.ResultsFinally,60 patients were enrolled,30 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group.The age,course and condition of the two groups before treatment were not statistically different after statistical analysis(P>0.05),and they were comparable.After treatment,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the area of skin lesions and facial color in traditional Chinese medicine’s syndromes(P<0.05).The area of skin lesions,total illness score,and appetite,and spirit in traditional Chinese medicine’s syndromes The status and stool status of the two groups were statistically different after treatment(P<0.05);The comparison between the two groups before and after treatment,the control group only had better skin lesion color,total score,and stool status of traditional Chinese medicine’s syndromes change than before treatment.Some improvement,while the treatment group improved in skin lesion color,total score,and traditional Chinese medicine’s syndrome(except for facial color).In the evaluation of clinical efficacy,the 73.33%effective rate of the treatment group was higher than the 50%effective rate of the control group.After treatment,the effective rate of the two groups was statistically different(P=0.029),indicating that the treatment group had a better clinical efficacy than the control group in treating this disease.ConclusionTongyuan Acupuncture technique is Professor Lai’s original method of regulating the balance of Yin and Yang and regulating the functions of the viscera.It has a better effect on the treatment of melasma of spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation type.It can improve the skin lesions of this type of melasma and improve the physical characteristics of the patient.It can significantly improve the health condition of patients and play an important role in "seeking the root of disease".The treatment has unique advantages and is worthy to promote. |
