Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Neuritis By Fire Needle Combined With Moxibustion With Seed-sized Moxa Cone

Objective The main aim of this study is to observe the clinical effect of fire needling combined with moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone and simple acupuncture on lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis,compare the curative effect difference and advantage of the two methods.To confirm the clinical curative effect and advantage of lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis by fire needle combined with moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone.Methods This study involved 60 patients with the disease from Changchun University of Chinese medicine affiliated hospital of acupuncture clinic,orthopedics and pain clinic patients.In establishing the strict diagnostic criteria,inclusion criteria,case deletion,fall off and efficacy evaluation criteria,according to the principle of random grouping,patients in this study divided into two group,30 patients in each group.The treatment group was treated by fire needle combined moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone.The control group was treated by simple acupuncture.The course of treatment in both groups was 2 courses,To compare the curative effect of two methods in treating lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis.Results According to the SPSS test,there was no significant difference in between the two groups in terms of age,gender and course of disease.It shows that the two groups were comparable.According to pain VAS,numbness VAS and assessment of lesion area.After treatment,through statistical analysis,the pain VAS,numbness VAS and assessment of lesion area in the group of fire needle combined with moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone was better than that in the group of simple acupuncture,with statistical significance(P< 0.05),The total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.67%,the control group was73.33%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion The application of fire needle combined with moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone and conventional acupuncture point to treat lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis,both of the two methods have good effects in clinical curative effect.But compared with the two methods,fire needle combined with moxibustion with seed-sized moxa cone method has better clinical effect and has quick effect and no side effect.Can better improve the symptoms of patients,in clinical promotion of higher value.
