| BackgroundHumanistic care ability of nursing students is the core content of nursing talents training,and it is a research hotspot in nursing field.However,researches show that the humanistic care ability of Chinese nursing students is lower than that of foreign norms.The level of humanistic care ability of nursing students will directly affect the quality of clinical nursing in the future.To improve the humanistic care ability of nursing students is an urgent problem to be solved in nursing education,so as to cultivate nursing talents who can meet the actual clinical needs.For the training of high-quality skilled nursing talents oriented by post demand,higher vocational nursing education is more important.The humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students can be cultivated through education.ObjectivesObjective to understand the current situation of humanistic care ability of nursing students in Higher Vocational Colleges in Henan Province;to analyze the influencing factors of humanistic care ability of nursing students in Higher Vocational Colleges in Henan Province;to study the correlation between humanistic care ability and professional identity of higher vocational nursing students;to explore the effect of targeted intervention based on the results of preliminary investigation on the humanistic care ability of nursing students in higher vocational colleges,so as to improve the humanistic care ability of nursing students in higher vocational colleges Ability to provide reference.Methods1.Questionnaire survey method 420 full-time nursing students in five VocationalColleges in Henan Province were investigated by convenience sampling method.The research tools include the following three types:(1)self-made general information questionnaire: used to investigate the general information of higher vocational nursing students;(2)humanistic care ability scale(CAI): using the caring ability evaluation scale developed by Professor Ngozi o.nkongho The questionnaire was used to investigate the professional level of nursing students.The data were analyzed by spss25.0.The specific analysis methods were frequency,percentage,mean,standard deviation,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Objective to analyze the current situation and influencing factors of humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students in Henan Province,and analyze the correlation between humanistic care ability and professional identity.P < 0.05 means the difference is statistically significant.2.Intervention method According to the results of the previous survey,combined with the characteristics of higher vocational nursing students’ learning situation,the targeted intervention program to improve the ability of humanistic care was developed based on Watson’s caring theory.A total of 160 sophomore nursing students(80 students in each class)in two classes of a higher vocational college who had been investigated in the early stage were selected as the research objects,The two classes were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The control group was taught the relevant courses according to the routine curriculum of higher vocational nursing.The nursing students in the experimental group were intervened on the basis of Watson humanistic care theory and professional identity training based on Watson humanistic care theory.After 12 weeks of intervention,the intervention effect was evaluated.The data were analyzed by spss25.0,and the specific analysis methods were frequency,mean and standard deviation.P < 0.05 means the difference is statistically significant.Results1.Questionnaire survey results(1)The score of humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students inHenan Province was 187.69 ± 18.20,of which the score of cognition dimension was 70.05± 8.69,the score of courage dimension was 67.22 ± 6.79,and the score of patience dimension was 50.51 ± 8.30.Compared with foreign norm,it is in a low level.The total score of humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students with different grades,different pre professional education,different family residence,harmonious relationship with classmates and teachers,participation in voluntary activities,and whether or not to serve as class cadres were statistically significant.The scores of humanistic care ability of those who were in low grade,graduated from high school,lived in the city,were not harmonious,did not participate in volunteer activities,and did not serve as class leaders(P< 0.01).(2)The average level of vocational nursing students’ professional identity was 60.57 ±9.27,the average of professional self-concept was 21.54 ± 4.27,the benefits of retention and turnover risk were 12.57 ± 2.65,social comparison and self reflection were 11.24 ±1.95,career choice autonomy was 7.39 ± 1.52,and social persuasion was 7.96 ± 1.66.(3)The scores of humanistic care ability and each dimension were positively correlated with professional identity and each dimension score(P < 0.01).(4)Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the independent influencing factors of humanistic care ability score of higher vocational nursing students were professional identity,whether they had nursing experience,whether they were class cadres,and grade(P < 0.05).2.Intervention results(1)Before the intervention,there was no significant difference in the total score of humanistic care ability,cognitive dimension,courage dimension and patience dimension between the experimental group and the intervention group(P > 0.05).After the intervention,the total score of humanistic care ability,patience and cognition of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in courage dimension(P > 0.05).(2)After the intervention,the humanistic care ability,courage dimension,cognitive dimension,and patience dimension of the experimental group were higher than those before intervention(P < 0.05).(3)After the intervention,the total score of humanistic care ability and the scores of each dimension in the control group were lower than those before the intervention(P<0.05).Conclusions1.The humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students in Henan Province is at a low level.Grade,harmonious relationship,class cadre,nursing experience,voluntary activities and professional identity are the influencing factors.2.On the basis of Watson’s humanistic care theory,the intervention of in class theory and after class practice of professional identity training can improve the humanistic care ability of higher vocational nursing students.(P < 0.05). |
