Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Umbilical Moxibustion In The Treatment Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Diarrhea(Spleen& Kidney Yang-Deficiency Type)

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical effect of umbilical moxibustion in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(spleen and kidney Yang-deficiency type).METHODS:According to the inclusion criteria,68 irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(spleen and kidney Yang-deficiency type)patients were included in this clinical observation.Using the random number table,the patients were randomly divided into medicine group and umbilical moxibustion group,34 cases in each group.Patients in the medicine group were given pinaverium bromide orally,and those in the umbilical moxibustion group were treated with umbilical moxibustion.Before and after treatment,Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score,stool form,IBS Symptom Severity Scale,and HAMA&HAMD scores were collected.Four weeks after the end of treatment,patients were followed up by telephone.And after followed up,datum were statistically analyzed.RESULT:1.After treatment,the number of BSFS types in the umbilical moxibustion group was 8 in type 4,15 in type 5,10 in type 6,andin medicine group was 2in type 4,12 in type 5,and 20 in type 6.There were statistical differences between the two groups(p<0.05);2.After treatment,both of the two groups’ IBS-SSS total scores were lower than those before,and there were significant statistical differences before and after treatment(p< 0.01);After treatment,the degree of abdominal pain and the frequency of abdominal pain score in umbilical moxibustion groupwere lower than medicine group,but there was no statistical difference between the two groups(p > 0.05);After treatment,defecation satisfaction and life impact score in umbilical moxibustion group was lower than medicine group,and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p<0.05);After treatment,the total score of IBS-SSS and abdominal distention score in umbilical moxibustion group were lower than medicine group,and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p<0.01).3.After treatment,both of the two groups’ HAMAscore and HAMD score were lower than those before,and there were significant statistical differencesbefore and after treatment(p< 0.01);After treatment,HAMAscore and HAMD scorein umbilical moxibustion group were lower than medicine group,and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p< 0.01)4.After treatment,both of the two groups’ TCM syndrome score was lower than those before,and there were significant statistical differencesbefore and after treatment(p< 0.01);After treatment,TCM syndrome scorein umbilical moxibustion group was lower than medicine group,and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p< 0.01);5.In the umbilical moxibustion group,3 cases were cured,16 cases showed obvious effect,12 cases were effective and 2 cases showed no effect;in the medicine group,10 cases showed obvious effect,17 cases were effectiveand 7cases showed no effect.There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p< 0.01);6.There were 31 cases of effective patients in the umbilical moxibustion group,5 cases were relapse by followed up,27 cases of effective patients in themedicine group,and 14 cases were relapse by followed up,and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(p< 0.01).CONCLUSION:1.Both umbilical moxibustion and oral pinaverium bromide are effective in treating IBS-D(spleen and kidney Yang deficiency type)patients,but umbilical moxibustion is better;2.Both umbilical moxibustion and oral pinaverium bromide can improve the clinical symptoms,anxiety and depression of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(spleen and kidney Yang deficiency type)patients.The effect of umbilical moxibustion on stool form,abdominal distension,diarrhea symptoms,defecation satisfaction,life quality,anxiety and depression was better than oral pinaverium bromide.As improving the degree of abdominal pain and frequency of abdominal pain,umbilical moxibustion and pinaverium bromide have the same effect;3.Umbilical moxibustion has a long-term effect on irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(spleen and kidney Yang deficiency type)patients.
