Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Stiff Neck With Needle Warming Moxibustion

ObjectiveIn this study,a randomized controlled study was conducted,in which needle warming moxibustion was used in the treatment group and conventional acupuncture was used in the control group.By observing the changes of patients’ pain and neck movement restriction before and after treatment,the effectiveness of needle warming moxibustion in the treatment of stiff neck was explored,and the mechanism of needle warming moxibustion was further explored,so as to provide clinical basis for needle warming moxibustion in the treatment of similar diseases.MethodsAccording to the standard of diagnosis and curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine(2017),60 patients with stiff neck who meet the standard were selected.According to the random number table,they were divided into treatment group(warming acupuncture group)and control group(ordinary acupuncture group),30 cases each.The treatment group and the control group have the same acupoint selection scheme,such as Tianzhu,Ashi,Houxi,Xuanzhong,etc.the treatment group selects Tianzhu,Ashi and moxibustion 1-shaped;the control group has acupuncture once every 10 minutes,once a day,two days as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses,after each course of treatment,evaluate the patient’ s condition,and if the clinical recovery,end the treatment.Before the treatment,the first course and the second course,McGill Pain Scale was used to measure the activity of cervical vertebra to evaluate the patients’ condition,to judge the clinical effect of the two groups,and to analyze and compare.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups in age,gender and clinical symptom score before treatment(P>0.05).During the treatment,there was no case falling off in both groups.According to the standard of diagnosis and curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine(2017 Edition)and the analysis of improvement rate of each index score after treatment,26 cases were cured,4 cases were improved,0 case was ineffective,and the total effective rate was 100%in the treatment group;24 cases were cured,6 cases were improved,0 case was ineffective,and the total effective rate was 100%in the control group;according to Mann Whitney test,there was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P=0.492>0.05),suggesting that the two groups had no significant difference in the total effective rate(P=0.492>0.05)There was no significant difference in effect.After the first course of treatment,the pain grading index(PRI),visual analogue score(VAS),existing pain intensity score(PPI),cervical vertebra activity score and other indicators in the treatment group and the control group were tested by independent samples t,P<0.05,indicating that there was statistical significance between the two groups,and after the first course of treatment,the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.At the end of the treatment,each index of the treatment group and the control group before and after the treatment was tested by paired samples t test,P<0.05.It was considered that the difference of each observation index of the treatment group and the control group before and after the treatment was statistically significant,that is,both the treatment group and the control group could alleviate the pain of patients and improve the activity of cervical spine.After treatment,each index of the treatment group and the control group was tested by independent sample t test,P>0.05.It was considered that there was no significant difference between the observation indexes of the treatment group and the control group after treatment,that is,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after treatment.ConclusionThe results show that both needle warming moxibustion and ordinary acupuncture have definite therapeutic effect on stiff neck.There is no significant difference in the final effect between the two groups,but the therapeutic effect of needle warming moxibustion group is better than that of ordinary acupuncture group after the first course of treatment,suggesting that needle warming moxibustion group has quick effect and short treatment course.Needle warming moxibustion has some advantages over ordinary acupuncture in the treatment of stiff neck,so it should be popularized and applied in clinic.
