| Objective:To compare the difference of the efficacy and safety of OLIF and PLIF in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, and then to provide a better choice for spinal surgeons in the surgical treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Materials and Methods:We selected 33 cases of lumbar disc herniation treated by OLIF or PLIF surgery in our hospital and other hospitals from June 2013 to August 2018,Of these,18 were treated with OLIF surgery(group OLIF),15 cases were treated with PLIF(group PLIF).To compare the length of stay,Operation time,Intraoperative bleeding,Preoperative VAS Score and ODI、Postoperative 3 months VAS Score and ODI、Postoperative 2 years VAS Score and ODI of low back pain and leg pain in the two groups.Result:The average length of stay in PLIF group was 12.73±3.26 days,Average operating time :145.33±14.08 minutes,Average intraoperative bleeding was 394.67±53.83 ml;The average length of stay in OLIF group was 8.11±1.75 days,Average operating time :151.67±18.55 ml,Average intraoperative bleeding was :276.11±52.37 ml.The average preoperative low back pain VAS score in PLIF group was 7.5±0.8,The average postoperative 3 months low back pain VAS score was 2.2±1.0,The average postoperative 2 years low back pain VAS score was 1.5±0.6;The average preoperative low back pain VAS score in OLIF group was 7.1±0.6,The average postoperative 3 months low back pain VAS score :2.2±0.6,The average postoperative2 years low back pain VAS score was 1.3±0.6.The average preoperative leg pain VAS score in PLIF group was 7.4±0.7,The average postoperative 3 months leg pain VAS score was 2.0±0.6,The average postoperative 2 years leg pain VAS score was 1.5±0.6;The average preoperative leg pain VAS in OLIF group was 7.4±0.8,The average postoperative 3 months leg pain VAS score was 2.4±0.7,The average postoperative 2years leg pain VAS score was 1.3±0.5.The average preoperative ODI in PLIF group was 65.5±7.2,The average postoperative 3 months ODI was 21.9±5.5,The average postoperative 2 years ODI was 12.2±4.7;The average preoperative ODI in OLIF group was 66.5±7.0,The average postoperative 3 months ODI was 21.6±6.7,The average postoperative 2 years ODI was 11.8±4.6.OLIF group had less hospitalization time and intraoperative blood loss than PLIF group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in operation time between OLIF group and PLIF group, the difference has no statistical significance(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS scores and ODI scores of low back pain and leg pain between the two groups before operation,3 months after operation and 2years after operation, the difference has no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:The curative effect and time required for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation are similar, but the hospitalization time and bleeding amount of OLIF patients are less than that of PLIF patients. Before the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, the spinal surgeon should evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods, and then make the best choice. |
