Throughout the history of the development of human civilization,public crises always accompany.In recent years,with the accelerated process of informatization,urbanization and globalization,the relationship between man and nature is unbalanced,and public health emergencies such as avian flu,plague,Ebola and COVID-19 have occurred frequently,which have seriously affected the health and lives of the public.While safety and the healthy development of society,it also puts forward higher requirements to the government public crisis management.How to minimize the hazards of public health emergencies is a test of the government’s ability and level of crisis management.In the entire life cycle of public crises,information management always runs through it.The effectiveness of information collection and transmission not only affects the smooth development of public crisis management,but also plays a pivotal role in the disposal and resolution of public crises.This study attempts to conduct an in-depth analysis of the problems existing in information management in the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control process in City A through literature and interview method etc.Find out the reasons for the ideology,system and mechanism,talent team,laws and regulations of A municipal government,it provides opinions and suggestions from four levels:improving the awareness of information management of public health emergencies,establishing more effective information management systems and mechanisms,forming a high-level information management team,and improving laws and regulations to provide guarantees for information management,discuss the information management model that the government needs to adopt in the face of more rapid,broader,greater,and more complex public health emergencies,in order to help the government improve the quality and efficiency of information management,thereby enhancing the ability and level of responding to public crises.
