Retrospective Analysis Of Clinical Cases Of Cat Lower Urinary Tract Disease

Cat lower urinary tract disease is a general term for various diseases that occur in the urinary tract system of cats.The main clinical symptoms are urinary urgency,frequent urination,urinary dripping,hematuria,frequent genital mutilation,etc.,which are harmful to cat urinary system.The main reason for health is great damage to the life of cats and the economy of cat owners.The incidence of urinary tract diseases in cats accounts for 2%to 3%of the total number of cat diseases.If improper treatment is delayed,it will lead to chronic cystitis.Diseases such as urinary tract stenosis,and even death due to kidney failure.There are many causes of such diseases,but the main site of the disease is concentrated in the posterior segment of the urinary tract,so it is called lower urinary tract disease.At present,Urumqi has a rare case analysis of cat urinary tract diseases.This study was started in the Animal Center Hospital of Xinjiang Agricultural University from January 2018 to March 2019.During the writing of the paper,the doctors were treated by follow-up doctors and independently cared for animals.Carry out laboratory tests,visit other animal hospitals,follow the strict diagnosis and treatment procedures of receiving,diagnosing,treating,and returning visits,and carry out data on all cats with urinary tract diseases in the cats of the six animal hospitals in Urumqi.Statistical compilation and analysis.Emphasis is placed on the different treatments for conservative treatment and surgical treatment.The typical case analysis provides assistance to clinical veterinarians in Urumqi.(1)Research resultsA total of 35 cases of cat lower urinary tract were collected,including 8 cases of spontaneous cystitis in the cat,11 cases of bladder stones,4 cases of urinary calculi,2 cases of urinary tract infection,3 cases of bladder and urinary tract stones,and other reasons.example.Five of the 35 cases were unknown because t-he owner was unwilling to cooperate with the examination.Among them,22 cases were treated conservatively,10 cases had recurrence,and the recurrence rate was 45%.8 cases were treated with surgery,1 case recurred,and the recurrence rate was 12.5%.The probability of male cats suffering from such disea ses was higher than that of female cats,about 91%(3/32);cats aged 1 year are more susceptible to disease,the incidence rate is 20%(7/35),and the main cause of the disease is spontaneous cystitis,accounting for 71%(5/7)of the total;The season is mainly concentrated in the estrus period of spring and autumn cats,11 cases occurred from.(2)Research conclusionsMale cats are susceptible to such diseases due to the characteristics of the urinary tract structure.Among them,1 year old cats are at higher risk of developing such diseases,mainly due to spontaneous cystitis caused by stress.Spring and autumn season is the period with the highest incidence of this disease.Appropate attention can be paid to cat urination and abnormal urination behavior is recommended.Pay attention to the influence of diet structure on cats.The water quality in the north is hard.You can choose to eat wet food and drink pure water to reduce the incidence of disease.The weight is controlled within 4 kg.Excessive obesity is also easy to get sick.
