At present,the night economy is booming all over the country.After being selected as one of the "Top Ten Cities in China’s Nighttime Economy" in 2019,Jinan City put forward the development goal of "promoting the development of the nighttime economy,improving the quality and upgrading to create City 2.0" in 2020.Among them,the old city area is regarded as the core key area of the city’s night economic development.As the most common type of public space in the city,the vitality of the street is reflected in the various activities that people engage in on the street,reflecting the degree of people’s agglomeration in the street space.The research on nighttime street vitality measurement is of great significance for promoting the improvement of urban space quality and the development of nighttime economy.Through literature review,it is found that the research on street vitality has experienced a development process from qualitative to quantitative.Traditional research on street vitality is often discussed in terms of landscape level,spatial scale,openness,and functional mixing,and more emphasis is placed on qualitative description;even if there are quantitative statistics on population,land use,and economy,they are mostly static data.It cannot reflect the dynamic changes of "people" as the main body of behavior and vitality in the street space,and the conclusions obtained cannot accurately reflect the complexity of crowd space activities.With the progress of data mining technology,the use of spatiotemporal big data to study the vitality of urban street space came into being..The study comprehensively uses population distribution data and satellite remote sensing image data,combined with on-the-spot investigation,and delimits the research period from 18:00to 24:00 at night.Taking the night streets of the old city area of Jinan as the research object,it will reveal the commercial,residential and landscape types.The temporal and spatial variation characteristics of nighttime vitality of 4 street types,including street type and mixed type,are proposed,and various types of vitality evaluation indicators,such as location degree,bus stop density,average road surface brightness,total uniformity of road surface brightness and light concentration degree,are proposed as Factors influencing the construction of a nighttime vitality measurement model.Using two spatial statistical methods,principal component regression(PCR)and partial least squares regression(PLS),three types of public influence factors were obtained.Suggestions provide useful reference for shaping high-quality urban street space.On the whole,POI function density,POI function mixing degree,nighttime lighting degree,and pavement illumination uniformity have a greater impact on the nighttime vitality of the four types of streets,which are the main factors affecting the difference in nighttime street vitality.Density,average road illuminance,bus stop density,and total uniformity of road illuminance are secondary reasons.In terms of street types at night: commercial streets are most affected by location,density of bus stops,and average road light intensity;landscape streets are most significantly affected by density of bus stops,POI density and average road surface illumination;residential streets are most affected by The POI mixing degree has the greatest impact,followed by the average road surface illumination and POI density factors;the mixed street is affected by the location degree,POI functional density,POI mixing degree and the average road surface illumination.
