In recent years,along with the high-quality development of China’s economy and society,the process of urbanization has been promoted rapidly,but a series of urban problems have also arisen,including traffic congestion,environmental pollution,declining characteristics and so on,leading to the decline of quality and vitality of urban public space.As the people-oriented urban planning concept deepens,the quality and vitality of urban public space have become the hot spot.However,street,as an important public space and the carrier of historical culture,has not been paid enough attention.We blindly widened streets to adapt to motor vehicle travel,weakening the social attribute of street gradually and ignoring people’s social and activity needs.Cause some originally full of regional characteristics of the streets gradually decline,street vitality loss.Therefore,it is necessary and practical significance to study street vitality at present.Meanwhile,big data and a variety of quantitative analysis methods also provide sufficient feasibility for the study of street vitality.In this context,based on relevant studies,this paper selects tourist city,a special type of city,as the research object,takes tourist city street vitality as the research object,constructs a quantitative measurement system of tourist city street vitality from two dimensions of external representation and influencing factors of street vitality,and selects the historical urban area of Guilin,a typical landscape tourist city,as the research scope for empirical study.Based on multi-source data,this paper quantitatively measures the street vitality of Guilin’s historic urban area,explores the distribution characteristics and rules of street vitality in working days,rest days and holidays from the spatial and temporal dimension in terms of the external representation of street vitality,and combines the characteristics of tourist cities and the people-oriented street design concept in terms of influencing factors.A total of 16 indexes were measured from 5 dimensions of street physical characteristics,accessibility,functionality,amenity and comfort.Secondly,Pearson correlation analysis in SPSS software was used to quantitatively measure the positive,negative and strength of the correlation between the external representation of street vitality and the influencing factors,and then explore the main influencing factors of street vitality in tourist cities.The results show that: in terms of the external representation of street vitality,the street vitality of tourist cities is significantly insufficient at night in terms of time dimension.In terms of spatial dimension,the street vitality of tourist cities shows a distribution feature of "strong in the south and weak in the north" in the study area,and there are differences in the spatial and temporal characteristics of working days,rest days and holidays.In terms of influencing factors of street vitality,the correlation index of the overall influencing factors of street vitality was slightly different in working days,rest days and holidays.Among them,functional density was the most positively correlated factor with street vitality,followed by global accessibility,local accessibility and intersection density,which also had a strong positive correlation,and had a promoting effect on street vitality.Functional mixing degree is the most negatively correlated factor index,followed by hydrophilic degree and sky openness,which has a certain inhibitory effect on the growth of street vitality.Different types and different time of street vitality change law and influencing factors are different.Finally,based on the temporal and spatial characteristics of street vitality and the influencing factors of different types of street vitality,the paper puts forward targeted street optimization and promotion strategies in order to improve the street quality of tourist cities and stimulate the street vitality,and summarizes the main conclusions,innovation points,shortcomings and prospects of the research.
