many airlines in China’s civil aviation,G Airlines always adheres to the policy of safety first.In order to ensure that the safety level of China’s civil aviation continues to maintain a leading level in the world,G Airlines needs to continue to improve and develop on the basis of current safety,and the Maintenance Engineering Department,as a subordinate department of G Airlines,is fully responsible for the implementation of maintenance management and aircraft maintenance and airworthiness responsibilities.,including the implementation of airworthiness responsibilities for the maintenance of airframes,engines,equipment and their components.The maintenance engineering department can entrust all or part of the above work through agreement,but it has the same airworthiness responsibility for the safety of its aircraft maintenance.The work of the maintenance engineering department is inseparable from the safety of aircraft maintenance.How to formulate an effective safety performance assessment plan,urge the employees of the department to strictly follow the standards,and dynamically show the safety level of the department.an important challenge.G Airlines was established in 2015 and consists of Safety Supervision Department,Flight Department,Cabin and Ground Services Department,Maintenance Engineering Department,Operation Control Department,Aviation Security Department,Operational Standards Department,Finance Department,Human Resources Administration Department and Marketing Department.Among them,the maintenance engineering department is responsible for deploying personnel,facilities,equipment,equipment and other resources in the maintenance system to implement the airworthiness responsibility of G Airlines’ aircraft.However,in the development process of G Airlines in the past few years,the maintenance engineering department did not focus on safety performance assessment,resulting in too few resources invested in this area,so that there were many problems in the department’s safety performance assessment plan.For example: the content of safety performance assessment is not targeted enough;the content of safety performance assessment is not comprehensive;the process of safety performance assessment is not in-depth and is only formalized;the application of safety performance assessment results is not in place.The problems existing in the safety performance appraisal program of G Aviation Maintenance Engineering Department are mainly caused by the following reasons.First,the department’s safety performance assessment plan developers have limited cognition of safety performance assessment,resulting in insufficient safety performance assessment content;second,the department did not fully mobilize the resources of each center when the safety performance assessment plan was formulated The content of safety performance assessment is not comprehensive;thirdly,the department has insufficient human resources to carry out safety performance assessment,which leads to the in-depth process of safety performance assessment,which is only formalized;fourthly,the correlation between departmental safety performance assessment and departmental reward and punishment system is not Strong,resulting in inadequate application of assessment results.In view of the current status of the safety performance assessment plan of G Airlines Maintenance Engineering Department and the reasons for these status quo,G Airlines Maintenance Engineering Department can optimize from the following aspects based on the actual situation of the department.First,optimize the safety performance assessment indicators,use key performance indicators clarify the scope and evaluation criteria of the safety performance assessment indicators,and establish a performance indicator assessment system that places equal emphasis on outcome indicators and process indicators;Second,optimize the safety performance appraisal personnel,and strengthen the training of safety performance appraisal personnel according to the requirements of the department.Combined with the current situation of the maintenance engineering department of G Airlines,appropriately increase the number of part-time safety performance appraisal personnel,and apply the contingency theory to ensure that the process of safety performance appraisal can be in-depth and comprehensive;third,optimize the safety performance appraisal process and improve the linkage between safety performance appraisal and reward and punishment mechanism,build standardized safety performance appraisal standards in accordance with the principles of fairness theory and expectation theory,and improve employees’ sense of fairness in the results of safety performance appraisals.In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimized safety performance assessment plan and make it play a maximum role,the optimized safety performance assessment plan needs to be supported by the management of the department and recognized by the employees,and through the continuous construction of safety culture within the department,to create A positive safety culture atmosphere,creating the concept of "I want to be safe" to "I want to be safe,I will be safe,I can be safe".Finally,by strengthening the training and publicity of the safety
