China’s rapid urbanization has given birth to a large number of resettlement communities,but resettlement communities have not fully realized the integration with the city,which is different from the ordinary rural communities and urban communities,the overall presented a "semi-urbanization" state.Most resettlement community studies focus on various social contradictions and social problems,but ignore the carrier of these contradictions and problems,namely the form of the community itself.What are the characteristics of the form of resettlement community,what are the internal relations,and how to regenerate the form,these are the problems we need to think about.There are few researches on community form in the past,and the only relevant researches are limited to using quantitative methods to study the physical spatial form,lacking a certain qualitative method to deeply study community form.In this paper,space syntax and qualitative method are introduced to study the above problems.Firstly,this paper takes Jiangning Development Zone as the research sample,and selects 6 resettlement communities and 3 commercial housing communities adjacent to it as the community research samples.According to the field observation data,the material form of resettlement community and commercial housing community is compared and analyzed.It is found that in addition to the original fixed material form in the planning and design of resettlement community,the new variable material form also appears due to the current internal self-organization situation of the community.Secondly,based on the conclusions of field observation,select Longchi New Residence,Yinxiang New Residence Phase II and Tianjingshan Apartment Phase I with obvious morphological characteristics as the community research samples for further analysis.Through the axial analysis method and the viewshed analysis method in the space syntax theory,quantitative analysis of the resettlement community form is carried out.On the basis of the syntactic conclusion,the relevance interpretation of the resettlement community form is carried out,and the inner relation between its fixed material form and variable material form is explored.Thirdly,in order to further analyze and explore the social,cultural,economic and other in-depth factors behind the community form,Yinxiang New Residence Phase II,which has a larger scale,longer construction time,and obvious morphological characteristics,is selected for in-depth interviews to complete the construction of the concept map of resettlement community form.Then the relationship among the fixed material form,the variable material form and the immaterial form is analyzed.Finally,based on the conclusion of space syntax and the concept construction of resettlement community form,it proposes morphological regeneration suggestions for the existing resettlement communities from the aspects of living space,transportation space,public environment,cultural and sports activities,and commercial services,as well as planning and construction suggestions for the newly-built resettlement communities.This paper innovatively applies space syntax to interdisciplinary research on hot issues in the field of engineering sociology,and combines field observations and in-depth interviews with qualitative research methods to conduct a more comprehensive research on the form of resettlement communities.Based on the previous research conclusions,suggestions for the regeneration of existing resettlement communities are put forward,in order to provide certain theoretical basis and reference opinions for the planning and construction of future resettlement communities.
