| High-speed railway(HSR)traffic dispatchers play a central and critical role in railway operation and are directly responsible for the preparation of daily train operation plan,emergency handling,rescue organization and arrangement.The job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher plays a critical role for the safety and efficiency of the transportation system.Based on the field investigation of the operation process and characteristics of the HSR traffic dispatchers,the factors affecting the job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher and evaluation indexes are determined.This study analyzes the relationship among mental health,cognitive ability,and job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher.One hundred and eighteen HSR traffic dispatchers were recruited from China Railway Chengdu Group Co.,Ltd.Mental health was measured using mental health scale.Cognitive abilities were measured using cognitive ability test paradigm.Job performance were measured using job performance scale and Centralized Traffic Control(CTC)scheduling simulation platform.Hierarchical regression was used to explored the relationship among mental health,cognitive ability,and job performance.The results showed that mental health had a negative predict.The participants with higher scores for depression and anxiety,the worse job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher.Moreover,the results showed that cognitive ability had a negative predict.The participants with higher scores for depression and anxiety,the worse job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher.The stronger the ability of dynamic visual attention,continuous attention,working memory,prospective memory,task switching and cognitive flexibility,the better the job performance of HSR traffic dispatcher.However,the predictive relationship between logical reasoning ability and job performance had not been verified.In addition,mental health and cognitive ability also had an interactive effect on the prediction of job performance.From the perspective of human factor psychology,this study comprehensively explored the influence mechanism of HSR traffic dispatchers’ job performance.The research result provided a new perspective for the improvement of HSR’s job performance and the management of operation safety.This can prevent and reduce the operation errors of HSR traffic dispatchers.To realize the safety essence of the job of HSR traffic dispatcher and prevent the efficiency and safety of dispatching from the source. |
