Research On The Influence Of Perceived Community Green Space On Life Satisfaction Of Community Residents

As an important part of urban living environment and community construction,community green space is one of the important carriers of public service and community governance.It not only provides a place for residents’ leisure,entertainment and exercise,but also an important way to reflect social equity,promote social interaction and strengthen social harmony.It is also a comprehensive embodiment of the government’s ability to innovate public service and social governance.The construction of green space is closely related to the well-being of residents,which affects people’s evaluation and judgment of a better life.At present,there are many researches on the ecological function and social benefits of green space.In terms of research methods,empirical research is the main method.Objective datum(such as per capita green space area and green coverage rate)are mostly used to describe the physical environment characteristics and their impact on the health and quality of life of urban residents.There are few researches on residents’ subjective evaluation of community green space.The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee proposed that the fundamental purpose of China’s economic and social development during the "14th five-year plan" period is to meet the people’s growing needs for a better life.We should adhere to the people-centered principle,enhance people’s well-being,constantly realize people’s yearning for a better life,and enhance people’s sense of acquisition,happiness,and security.Therefore,the subjective evaluation of the people is an important indicator to measure a better life.From the perspective of residents,according to the New Public Governance Theory,Public Product Theory and Theory of Environmental Perception,this paper constructed a research model of the impact of perceived community green space on life satisfaction of community residents,using "perceived community green space" to measure residents’ evaluation of community green space construction,taking "life satisfaction of community residents" as residents’ evaluation of their own living conditions.As potential influencing factors of community residents’ life satisfaction,"community capital" and "community identity" were put into the research model to explore whether the construction of community green space can meet the residents’ expectations for a better life,and the role of community social capital and community identity in the relationship between community green space perception and community residents’ life satisfaction.According to the purpose of the study,this paper designed a questionnaire to investigate the urban residents in Chengdu.496 valid questionnaires were collected.The datum was processed and analyzed by SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0 software.The results showed that the perceived community green space had a positive predictive effect on the life satisfaction of community residents,and the cognitive social capital had a significant impact on community identity,while structural social capital has no significant effect on community identity.Community social capital and community identity play a mediating role between community green space perception and life satisfaction of community residents.Structural social capital and community identity played a complete mediating role between perceived community green space and life satisfaction of community residents.This paper argued that the higher the quality of community green space,the stronger the willingness of residents to activities,the more benefits they get from community green space,and their life satisfaction will rise.And the residents’ interpersonal network,sense of belonging and identity to the community affect the residents’ experience in the community green space activities.High quality community green space experience helps the community residents to form higher life satisfaction.Therefore,public service providers should do a good job in the planning and construction of community green space,improve the service ability of community green space,maintain the quality of community green space,and make residents get more value in community green space,so as to enhance the life satisfaction of community residents;community activity planners and managers should pay attention to the cultivation of community social capital,and enhance the residents’ sense of community identity.In addition,public service providers should take the residents’ evaluation of community green space as an important basis for the construction of community green space and the development of Park City,pay attention to the residents’ opinions,and constantly optimize construction work of community green space,so as to meet the residents’ yearning for a better life.
