In the urbanization period after the gradual release of internal economic driving forces such as urban land dividend and demographic dividend, urban development has entered the stage of sustainable development.Under the dual background of sustainable regeneration and normalisation of disasters, old communities have become the main objects of urban regeneration and resilience construction.Evaluation of the effects of community renewal is conductive to the improvement of renewal strategies. Therefore, this study will explore the internal mechanism of community renewal and the changes of community resilience after renewal from the perspective of “resilience”,so as to build a multi-faceted historical and cultural community with resilience.Firstly, based on the literature review about the history of community regeneration development, the evaluation of community resilience and the assessment of community regeneration,as well as the interactive relationship between community renewal and community resilience, this research establishes a community renewal evaluation system based on resilience from the aspects of facilities, built environment, governance, society and economy.Secondly, the author summarizes the development period of community regeneration in Changsha, and chooses Chaozong community and Fengquangujing community as the case study area, and resilience change of the community renewal. Finally, paper proposes renewal strategies from the perspectives of physical environment resilience, social population resilience, governance resilience and economical resilience.Specifically,it suggests that community renewal can improve resilience by improving community public service facilities, optimizing community spatial organization, continuing regional culture and history, integrating old and new residents, integrating top-down management decisions and bottom-up resident autonomy. The evaluation system of community renewal effectiveness and the strategy of historical and cultural community renewal from the perspective of “resilience” can provide reference for future research and practice of community renewal.
