Facing the dual test of natural disasters and city renovation,China has carried out ‘City Betterment and Ecological Restoration’ campaign in any cities.In response to this innovative measure to treat urban catastrophes,Landscape Design,as one of the important methods of urban renewal and ecological restoration,should conform to the concept of healthy cities and think about how to develop sustainable and resilient urban landscapes.Therefore,this article uses the methods and principles of the theory of ‘City Betterment and Ecological Restoration’ in Landscape Design as the research basis to explore the strategies of urban renewal and ecological restoration.In order to make the research results more practical and reliable,the study selected the Changsha HOUHU International Art and Industrial park as the research example.Firstly,through the literature research method and the interdisciplinary research method,the relevant theories are sorted out,and the relevant domestic and foreign research cases are analyzed and compared.The landscape design is systematically designed from the five perspectives of ecology,function,transportation,facilities and culture.Then,through field investigation and data analysis,conducted in-depth understanding and research on Changsha HOUHU International Art and Industrial park,summarized and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of its.At the same time,after analysis,the corresponding design positioning and strategy for the landscape design of Changsha HOUHU International Art and Industrial park are put forward.Further thinking and optimization,the overall design plan is determined,and form the characteristic landscape pattern of ‘Mountains and Water connect cities’,and carry out detailed design measures based on the design concept that from scenes to places,from streets to neighborhoods,from living quarters to creative industrial parks.Finally,it summarizes the design methods,deficiencies and innovations of this research,and provides a theoretical basis and case reference for Landscape Design under the task of ‘City Betterment and Ecological Restoration’ in the future.Contemporary landscape needs to change design thinking and think about sustainability from a macro perspective.A full of resilience’s city will further realize a modern urban landscape that is harmonious,livable,vibrant,and distinctive in the future.
