In the past decades,there are rapidly change of business and competition mode within automotive manufacturing industry.On one hand,to keep the core competitive advantages,companies have to realize the extension of more business to supply chain therefore many medial and small component company growing up quickly.On the other hand,car maker and Tier 1 supplier had implemented JIT system and required suppliers to fitful much more higher requirement in the field of quality,cost and logistic.With this background,company R decide to start lean transformation.For the management of R company,it is the first priority thing that how to implement lean management successfully.Also there are a lot of companies tried to implement lean management but not get significant achievement as they intended.Why lean not works well?Why it is so difficulty to make lean transformation?Many experts had paid efforts to research lean production,therefore a lot of lean modules and methodology already in place such as 5S,pull system,Leveling,TPM.But the author noticed that there are not sufficient study cases how to implement lean management and support system improvement,which is very important for manufacturing company.Main contents of this paper as below.Chapter Ⅰ is the introduction part.Mainly introduce the market situation of automotive business,background of lean management and challenges which the tier 2 and tier 3 companies have.Chapter Ⅱ is one method how to implement lean management,including implementation model and roadmap.Meanwhile,it is defined the detail action plan for R company according to the mentioned lean transformation model and roadmap.Chapter Ⅲ introduce the case study of the lean implementation at R company.For example,improvement of line balance performance,OEE(Overall Equipment Efficiency),quality development and lean logistic,so on and forth.After 1 year project at pilot production line and 2 years roll out,R Company implement lean management system successfully.As a result,they got significant benefit.Chapter Ⅳ focus on lean management system of R Company,including system CIP,employee suggestion system,lean culture development.This is the key how R Company maintain their achievement and keep continuous improvement.Chapter Ⅴ is the conclusion and outlook.There is huge potential to continue develop the implementation method of lean management with intelligent technology. |
