| High-quality development is an inevitable requirement to comply with the changes of the times and realize the people’s needs for a better life,and the main pursuit of promoting China’s all-round economic and social construction.As the basis of people’s production,energy provides strong driving force for regional economic growth.However,with the in-depth adjustment of the current global energy supply and demand,the energy sector is constantly facing new challenges,and it is imperative that high-quality energy development provide a strong guarantee for the sustainable and sound economic and social development.The Yangtze River Economic Belt is rich in natural resources.It is not a major contributor to China’s economic and social development,but also an important model of ecological priority and green development.Remarkable progress has been made in energy economy development driven by low-carbon energy transformation,but the deep-seated problems such as strong regional energy dependence,imperfect energy regulatory system and the impact of regional energy planning on the overall development process have become increasingly prominent.In order to continue to promote high-quality development of the Yangtze Economic Belt,it is crucial to solve the problem of energy economy development.Therefore,the evaluation and influencing factors of energy economy development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt will help to identify the characteristics and stages of regional energy economy development and promote the high-quality development of energy economy.Firstly,through literature review,this paper expounds relevant contents of economic growth theory,low-carbon economy theory and sustainable development theory,and summarizes relevant researches on energy economy and high-quality development.Next,based on the requirements of energy economy development under the background of high-quality development,30 indicators are selected from five dimensions of innovation-driven,coordinated and stable,green and low-carbon,open and shared by all to construct the evaluation index system of regional energy economy development under the guidance of new development concepts and referring to relevant researches of scholars.Then,the comprehensive score of energy economy development of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is calculated by using the global principal component analysis(GPCA)method,and the energy economy development level of the whole Yangtze River Economic Belt and 11 provinces and cities are compared from two aspects of time and space.Finally,six indicators,including environmental constraints,industrialization level,science and technology,energy intensity,low carbon energy investment and energy consumption structure,are selected to demonstrate the impact of each factor on the energy economy development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt by using the fixed effect model.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)from 2010 to 2019,the overall development level of energy economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has gradually increased.In terms of provinces,Zhejiang’s development index of energy economy has improved the most.In terms of the rankings,the scores of Hunan,Anhui,Jiangxi,Chongqing and Sichuan fluctuated slightly,while the rankings of other regions remained stable.(2)There are obvious differences in energy economy development level among provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,presenting as "high in the east and low in the west".The provinces and cities in the middle and high-level account for the main part.Shanghai,Jiangsu and Zhejiang are at the high level,while Yunnan and Guizhou are at the low level.The polarization trend is significant,but the internal gap has gradually narrowed,the development level is more concentrated,and the overall development trend is better.(3)Environmental constraints,science and technology,low carbon energy investment and energy consumption structure play a significant role in promoting the development level of energy economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,while industrialization level and energy intensity have a significant negative effect.According to the research conclusions of this paper,suggestions are as this follows:(1)make full use of regional advantages to reduce environmental pollution;(2)Innovate industrial development model to reduce environmental pollution;(3)Increase investment in low-carbon energy to develop and expand the clean energy industry;(4)Develop and popularize energy technologies to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency;(5)Accelerate the optimization of energy consumption structure and realize the main energy conversion. |
