Research On Evaluation Of ICT Application Level In Construction Enterprises

Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has actively promoted digital development and industrial digital transformation.Information and Communication Technology(ICT)has been regarded as an important engine driving digital transformation.However,the current extensive production methods of the construction industry have made its ICT application level far behind other industries,the digitalization process of construction industry is slow.As the technical foundation of digitalization,by measuring the application level of ICT in construction enterprises,we can understand the digital progress of the enterprise and the industry as a whole,so as to provide a reference for further formulating the digital transformation and upgrading strategy of the construction industry.This paper summarizes the application and challenges of ICT in construction enterprises through combing domestic and foreign literature,and formulates an index system based on the content of ICT application,then builds a comprehensive evaluation model based on the combination weighting method under the principle of minimum deviation.In the empirical stage,combined with the model to obtain the overall level and sub-type level of ICT applications in construction companies.The results show that the overall ICT application level of construction companies is low,and there are phenomena such as less technology use and poor results;different types of companies have different scores,and there is a phenomenon that the ICT application level of construction companies is higher than that of design companies.Based on these phenomenon,this article analyzes the reasons,and draws five reasons for the lack of ICT application strategy coordination,insufficient investment,poor integration of technology and business,insufficient collaborative innovation,and low efficiency conversion.Finally,in response to these issues,this article suggests that construction companies should strengthen ICT infrastructure,improve the business structure of ICT applications,and increase the endogenous power of ICT applications through talent cultivation,technological innovation and government guidance.The ICT application level evaluation model of construction enterprises established in this paper starts from the strategic purpose of “ICT drives the digital transformation of the construction industry” to help construction enterprises understand their own ICT applications,which can provide a reference for the digital transformation decision-making of enterprises and relevant government departments.It also provides suggestions for the healthy development of ICT and digital transformation from specific aspects such as strategic planning,technology application,and organization management.
