Research On The Concretization Of Genius Loci Of The Square Space Based On The User’s Perspective

Due to the pursuit of incremental development and the neglect of quality and place spirit,the genius loci of the square is in the absence and dilution.At the same time,the gap between designers and users is one of the dilemmas faced by current architecture and urban design.Due to different positions,architects may have a misunderstanding of what is the life style desired by the public,which leads to their different cognition of genius loci.By analyzing the connotation of the genius loci,the paper obtains its constituent elements,and then conduct in-depth interviews with users according to the constituent categories,establish the theoretical model of the influencing factors of the genius loci in the square space from the perspective of users,and determine the influencing factors of the genius loci;Based on the influencing factors,field observation and questionnaire survey were conducted to summarize the expression needs of genius loci from the perspective of users;then sum up the cognitive conflict between the public and architects on the genius loci of square space,and put forward the reconstruction principle and strategy.Taking a step forward from the team of architects,we can construct a place with spiritual characteristics that both architects and the public like,which can provide reference for improving the deficiency of the genius loci construction of the square space at the present stage and the design of the new square.First of all,based on the current social situation and relevant literature,the entry point of this study from the perspective of users and the research object of the genius loci of square space are formed.Secondly,this paper makes a theoretical interpretation of place,place spirit and place spirit composition,laying a theoretical foundation for the subsequent extraction of the influencing factors of genius loci;the data collection and analysis of the influencing factors of the genius loci from the perspective of users are completed by qualitative research,and the theoretical model of the influencing factors of the genius loci of the square space is constructed and the influencing factors of the genius loci are determined;then determine the elements of genius loci based on the theoretical model of the influencing factors,and carry out the second phase of field research in a targeted manner to further summarize the specific relationship between the elements and the spirit of the place,and draw the public’s needs for expression of the genius loci.Finally,based on the previous research,summed up the cognitive conflicts between the public and the architects on the genius loci of the square space,and put forward the principles and strategies for restructuring the genius loci of the square space from the user’s perspective,in order to alleviate the conflict between users and architects.Design a square space with the genius loci combining public intentions and architectural language,and provide suggestions for the improvement of the genius loci of the square space in the future.The construction of the genius loci of the square place is of great significance to urban development and public life.This article aims to interpret the genius loci of the place from a specific perspective,and fully explore the public’s cognition of the genius loci in square space,which has important theoretical value and practical significance for the construction of the spirit of place in square space.
