Kindergarten is a kind of educational-building,which is the building and space for children’s preparatory education.Compared with other educational-buildings,the particularity of kindergarten lies in that the service-objects of kindergarten are younger,usually children aged 3-6,which makes the buildings endowed more with functions of enlightenment and communication besides significance of education.The purpose of kindergarten is to help children experience collective life earlier and the fun of learning.In this process,children’s game-playing become the key to children’s public activities.In recent years,the development of children friendly space theory is the expression of architecture and space designers’ concern about children’s space demand and hope to improve the quality of children’s space.In the public activity space of kindergarten,it is reflected in whether the space is playable.By combing other building space evaluation systems,this paper constructs an evaluation system on whether children’s public space is playable,and carries out preliminary investigation,questionnaire investigation and result analysis from three evaluation aspects of functionality,social communication and entertainment.The data processing methods mainly include the superposition of demand degree and satisfaction degree,the analysis of the correlation and significance between each evaluation and score,and other quantitative relations.The relevant conclusions of design demand and the relationship between the demand and specific design elements are obtained respectively,so as to obtain the specific direction and construction method of children’s public space.Finally,through the promotion of typical cases,according to the evaluation of three aspects of functional,social and interesting suggestions are put forward,and the strategies and methods to improve the playability evaluation of kindergarten public space are discussed.
