Centralized Traffic Control System(Centralized Traffic Control System,hereinafter referred to as CTC)is currently used on a large scale in railways.This system is an advanced automated operation signal system that fully supports railway traffic personnel to conduct transportation command.With the rapid growth of the railway construction and operation mileage in my country,the demand for the use of CTC by railway operators is also increasing.CTC project management in railway signal system suppliers has shown a form of multi-project management,and the traditional management mode is no longer suitable for the current situation.How to speed up the overall construction progress of multiple CTC projects in the enterprise,improve production efficiency,and ensure that key railway construction projects are opened on schedule with limited resources,so as to support the livelihood and economic development of the areas along the railway as soon as possible,and it has increasingly become the current CTC project management problems that need to be solved urgently.This article summarizes the research status of multi-project management and critical chain theory at home and abroad,analyzes the implementation process of CTC projects,summarizes the characteristics of CTC projects,and summarizes and analyzes the problems existing in traditional management methods.Subsequently,the critical chain theory was introduced,and the multi-project priority evaluation rules,standard construction period and project delay loss quantification standards suitable for CTC were formulated,and the critical chain plan formulation method,buffer setting method and the principle of dynamic control suitable for CTC multi-project management were constructed.Finally,the CTC multi-project critical chain management method is applied to the real production data of the enterprise.By comparing the effect with the traditional management method,it is concluded that this method can greatly improve the CTC multiproject production efficiency,effectively guarantee the implementation of key projects,and reduce the overall project delay loss.The conclusion proves that the method is feasible in practice.It provides important optimization and promotion ideas for CTC multi-project management,and also lays a good foundation for the promotion of key chain technology for project management of other railway communication signal systems.
