Research On Integration And Renovation Of Railway Stations And Surrounding Areas In Urban Center Based On "Mobility"

The construction of China’s railway system and station buildings began at the end of the 19 th century.At the early stage,railway stations were generally built on the edge of the city,and basically only to satisfy the needs of railway travel.With the development of economic and the progress of society,the speed of urban construction has accelerated and the scope of the city has expanded sharply,so that the railway stations that were originally located on the edge of the city has been gradually incorporated into the center of the city.In the face of the new urban environment and social needs,due to the lack of overall consideration and unified design,coupled with the limitations of the existing renovation,a series of problems have emerged between the railway stations and the surrounding urban space: the disconnection of station space and urban space,the disorder of the space around the railway station,and the fragmentation of urban space caused by railway tracks.These problems need to be resolved.This article uses a combination of literature collation,theoretical research,case analysis,field investigation and case verification to study the renovation of railway stations and the surrounding areas in central areas of cities in China.From the perspective of "mobility",this article divides "mobility" into three dimensions: "speed","structure",and "activity".Based on these three dimensions,the influence and shaping ability of "mobility" on urban space are discussed from three aspects: structure stratification,speed conversion,and activity integration.On this basis,the basic principles of renovation are proposed: continuity,interactivity,integration,and the overall strategies are further proposed: mobility network organization,core space implantation,and activity space combination.Finally,taking Hangzhou Railway Station as an example,the present status and problems of the Hangzhou Railway Station were analyzed,and a conceptual renovation plan and strategies were proposed.The renovation of the railway station area in the central area of cities is a complicated urban issue."Mobility" gets to the point from a dynamic perspective,focusing on the most essential order of city operation,fundamentally completing and optimizing the basic structure of urban movements,so as to achieve darning of urban space.Human activities are also taken into account in this process to truly activate the urban space.In this way,the railway station has completed the transformation from a simple transportation hub to an urban complex,and the railway station area has also evolved into a new vitality center in the city.
