With the rapid development of China’s railway industry,the construction and development of China’s cities have entered a new historical development period because of the construction of railway stations.All of a sudden,as an important urban space node,railway stations drive the continuous construction and development of surrounding cities,but also bring great social and economic benefits.However,with the continuous increase of population and urban expansion in China,railway stations built at the beginning of this century and earlier have exposed increasingly severe urban problems.In the face of the increasing shortage of urban land resources,it is urgent to integrate,update and replace inefficient land resources in railway stations and space in front of the station with single function and occupying a large area.At the same time,the railway station area itself also presents the situation of non-integration and mismatch with the urban development,resulting in the urban form,space and economy of the area on both sides of the station and unequal development.In the face of the new requirements of urban Renaissance in the stock era,the existing railway stations are also in urgent need to undertake the task of old city Renaissance,and the renewal around the existing railway stations has become an inevitable trend.Based on this,in this paper,starting from the humanistic perspective of urban renewal,around a bottom-up governance concept,put forward from the perspective of the activity,Uses the literature material and case sorting,field surveys and online research,inductive and deductive and the method of combining the example,focusing on both the renewal of the railway station and space in front of the station in the ultra city and megalopolis,And to carry on the transformation strategy analysis.From the perspective of behavioral activities,this paper divides the existing railway station and its front space into necessary activities,optional activities and social activities.Based on three kinds of activities,the article will divide railway station and its front space into necessity activity space,optional activity space and social space,select the eight domestic railway station case for study and observation,analyze the existed problems of the three kinds of activity space,and categorize and discuss the obstacles brought by the current situation to the integration of renewal and transformation.On this basis,aiming at the problems mentioned in the three types of activity space,the author compares 5 foreign existing railway station renewal cases.According to the division of the three types of activity space,the author will put forward the intensification and zoning strategy for the necessary activity space,and the site shaping and space guidance strategy for the optional activity space,and the strategy of stitching urban space and connecting dynamic elements for social activity space.Finally,This paper takes Hangzhou City Station as an example to demonstrate the feasibility of the research idea,analyzes the status quo and problems of the city station,and puts forward a renovation plan for the integration and renewal of Hangzhou City Station combined with the actual situation.The renovation of existing railway station and space in front of the station is not a simple architectural problem,but fundamentally is a problem of urban built environment governance.From the perspective of behavioral activities,this paper tries to analyze the use of railway station and space in front of the station from the bottom-up governance perspective,and tries to respond to the strategy of integration and renewal from the humanistic perspective,and reveal that the integration of railway station and space in front of the station should be the integration of various behavioral activities in essence.
