With the rapid development of my country’s social economy and urbanization, large changes have taken place in rural residential land.As the core of rural production and life, rural settlements continue to expand and expand at a relatively fast rate, occupying land resources around the village. At the same time, the situation of abandoned and idle settlements within the village is gradually increasing, with limited waste.Land resources. Therefore,it is necessary to rationally plan and guide the construction of rural housing. While building housing in rural areas meets the needs of farmers for housing construction,it also protects limited land resources.Studying the evolution characteristics and driving mechanism of the temporal and spatial patterns of rural residential areas has important guiding significance for optimizing the layout of rural development. This paper takes Dongxiang District,Fuzhou City,Jiangxi Province as the research area, selects the comprehensive utilization data of land resources in 2009,2014 and 2018,the Dem data of Dongxiang District, and uses GIS spatial analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, landscape pattern index and other technical means.Analyze the evolution of the characteristics of spatial scale, spatial agglomeration and spatial morphology of residential areas. The three time nodes in2009,2014,and 2018,as well as the changes in rural settlement patches from 2009 to 2018,are compared with the elevation factors and slope factors in the terrain factors, and the distance between the rural settlements in the location factors and roads and rural areas.Neighbourhood analysis is carried out on the hierarchical buffer zone of the distance between residential areas and the distance between rural residential areas and urban areas to reveal the driving force of natural conditions and location conditions on the evolution of rural residential areas’ spatio-temporal pattern;using multiple regression models to reveal the impact of social and economic factors on rural residents The driving force of the evolution of the spatiotemporal pattern of sites;analyze the farmland protection policies and village construction policies involved in the research period, and reveal the driving forces of policy factors on the evolution of the spatiotemporal pattern of rural settlements. The main conclusions of the article are as follows:(1)From 2009 to 2018,the distribution characteristics of rural residential areas in Dongxiang District changed significantly. From 2009 to 2018,the number of rural residential areas in Dongxiang District increased by 1,221,the patch area increased by 143.63 hm2,and the average patch area decreased from 2.31 hm2 to1.68 hm2.The evolution of rural residential areas was mainly concentrated in small-scale areas less than 1 hm2.Residential area. There are obvious differences in the scale of rural settlements in different towns.Xiaogang Town has the largest increase, followed by Dengjia Township and Xiaohuang Town. The scale of rural settlements in the livestock ranch in Dongxiang District has not changed;the scale of rural settlements in Hongliang Reclamation Farm has slightly decreased.(2)From 2009 to 2018,the spatial distribution of rural residential areas in Dongxiang District was uneven, showing the characteristics of agglomeration as a whole. The rural residential areas in Dongxiang District are centered on cities and towns, and the agglomeration effect is significant. In 2009,2014 and 2018,the rural residential areas in the three time nodes all showed a cluster distribution pattern. At the township level, the rural settlements of Dongxiang Copper Mine,Xiaogang Town,Dengjia Township, and Huwei Township in the central part of Dongxiang District are densely populated with high concentration of settlements;in the southwest of Hongguang Reclamation Farm,Dongxiang District Livestock Farm,Gankeng The density of rural settlements in hilly areas such as the forest farm,Yaoxu Township, and Zhanxu Town in the west is low,and the concentration of settlements is low.(3)From 2009 to 2018,the shape index of rural residential areas in the counties of Dongxiang District showed an increasing trend. The shape index of rural residential areas in various townships shows obvious differences, and the shape index shows an overall increasing trend.Due to the high altitude and wide distribution of forest land in the western and southeastern regions, the area suitable for the construction of rural residential areas is small, and the shape index of rural residential areas is low.Among them, the livestock ranch in Dongxiang County is the lowest. The central and southwestern regions have flat terrain, which is convenient for the layout of residential areas, and the expansion of residential areas is more random. The land fragmentation of rural residential areas is high. The irregularities of rural residential areas are obvious, and the shape index of rural residential areas is high.Among them,Yangqiaodian Town,Xiaogang Town,Xiaohuang Town and Dengjia Township have the highest shape index.(4)The evolution of the spatial and temporal pattern of rural settlements in Dongxiang District is comprehensively affected by regional topographical conditions, location conditions, population and socio-economic development conditions, and national policy guidance.Terrain conditions are the basic conditions for the development and evolution of the pattern of rural residential areas. From 2009 to 2018,rural residential patches in Dongxiang District were always mainly distributed in areas below 100 m in elevation. The proportion of residential patches and patch area The proportion has been maintained at more than95%;location conditions such as water source distribution, road accessibility, and urban location have an important impact on the evolution of the spatio-temporal pattern of rural settlements;population and economic and social development status are important for the evolution of the spatiotemporal pattern of rural settlements The impacts of each link and the surrounding environment are complex.Among them, the number of rural households and the per capita disposable income of rural residents are factors that have an impact on the evolution of rural settlements;farmland protection policies, permanent basic farmland protection policies, and new rural construction The influence of policies and other policy factors on the evolution of the spatial and temporal patterns of rural settlements cannot be ignored.
