With the development of society and the improvement of productivity,the number of large-scale projects are increasing in violence.However,due to the uncertainty of projects,finish on time has become a difficult problem.Scientific and reasonable project schedule management methods can effectively improve the timely completion rate of the project,so it is necessary to explored the project schedule management method.In the project schedule management,it is mainly divided into two parts: the preparation of project schedule and the control of project schedule.The critical chain method takes into account the research contents of these two aspects at the same time,which has high research significance and research value.However,the current situation and development trend of critical chain method shows that: in the field of critical chain research,more attention is paid to the sensitivity of activities,without considering the ability to crashing of activity.In this paper,based on the critical chain method,combined with the theory of schedule controllability,the theoretical method and application research are carried out.The main contents and achievements are as follows:(1)The theory of schedule controllability is delving deeper,and the concept of time limit margin is proposed based on the existing foundation.(2)The schedule controllability is applied to the buffer size,and the buffer is redistributed without affecting the overall buffer size.Simulation results show that the method can effectively improve the on-time completion rate of the project.Secondly,considering that there are different crashing measures in the activities,a buffer "allocation" method considering cost is proposed,and the effectiveness of cost reduction is verified by simulation.(3)Apply the the theory of schedule controllability and buffer monitoring to project control.Three methods are proposed,Schedule Controllability based Buffer Monitoring Approach,improvement Activity Cruciality index CRI based Buffer Monitoring Apprtoach and Activity Set based Buffer Monitoring Approach.The simulation results show that Activity Set based Buffer Monitoring Approach is the best among all the approachs,and it is able to Effectively improve the on-time completion rate of the project without a large number of acceleration measures.(4)The proposed method is applied to the engineering case,and the simulation results show that it is also practical in the actual project,and it can achieve a high timely project completion probility with less crashing frequency and crashing time.
