The traditional business districts not only take the tourism function of the city,but also meet the needs of People’s leisure,entertainment and consumption.With the acceleration of the urbanization process in our country,the public’s demand for service efficiency and environmental quality of public places is increasing.The street space of the traditional business districts is developing in the direction of providing people with better recognition and superior experience from the traffic function.At present,through a number of commercial districts comparative analysis,the researches of the traditional business districts’ street space are often analyzed from the historical,cultural and social point of view,or use the spatial syntax and other quantitative research methods to resolve the street spatial pattern of the understandable performance.In summary,most of the research is based on spatial objects,but less on the user’s perspective to explore the interaction between the traditional commercial district street space form and human cognitive behavior.From the perspective of spatial cognition,this paper takes the most intuitionistic reflection of Zhongshan Road business district—street space as the research object,and the objective material form of street space,human behavior and subjective cognition feeling are correlated,explores the cognition mechanism of human being in objective structure space and puts forward optimization strategy for street Space.Firstly,combined with relevant data,using morphological typology to summarize the branches of traditional commercial district street space,summarizing the influencing factors and mechanism of cognitive behavior in combination with the development background of the times,and exploring the interaction between street space patterns and cognitive behaviors in traditional business districts.Secondly,the Qingdao Zhongshan Road Commercial District was selected as a practical case.On the one hand,using the spatial syntax and big data research methods from the macro and micro levels to analyze the logical cognition and material composition characteristics of the street’s overall space;On the other hand,From the perspective of subjective cognition,the questionnaire survey,node space identification method and semantic analysis method are used to conduct cognition research on local residents and tourists.After summarizing and analyzing,the relationship between street space morphology and cognitive behavior in traditional commercial districts is discussed.Based on the cognitive needs of Zhongshan Road Commercial District Street Space in the form of problems are summarized.Finally,from the macro and micro levels,aiming at the morphological problems of the street space in Zhongshan Road Commercial District,this paper puts forward the optimization strategies which are more in line with people’s behavior and subjective cognitive needs.From the perspective of logical cognition of the whole street space,it puts forward the strategies in terms of road network structure layout,cognitive element correlation degree,etc.and from the microscopic point of view,the detailed optimization strategies are put forward in terms of interface,scale,node and so on,starting from the specific material elements of street space.These optimization strategies can provide scientific guidance and help for the optimization of street space form of traditional commercial districts in the future.
