| With the deepening of the international division of labor,Chinese automobile enterprises are gradually embedded in the global value chain,but most of them are located in the low end of production and manufacturing.At the key time of supply-side structural reform in China,automobile industry,as an important part of national economy,must be upgraded.This paper combines the industrial angle with the enterprise angle,tries to explore the upgrading path suitable for China’s automobile industry,and realizes the climb to the high end of the global value chain.This paper first analyzes the present situation of China’s automobile industry,uses the IMS、RCA、TC index to measure the competitiveness of the automobile industry,and finds that the competitiveness of the automobile industry is still lagging behind in the main automobile manufacturing countries.Secondly,the foreign value-added rate,GVC participation index and GVC status index are calculated by using the inter-country input-output table provided by the latest version of the WIOD2016 database.By comparing with the developed countries,the position of China’s automobile industry in the global value chain is obtained,and the problems and reasons of China’s automobile industry upgrading are analyzed from all aspects of the global value chain.To study the way of embedding global value chain and the promotion path in global value chain.BYD embeds the global value chain by imitating car making,imitating innovation and co-manufacturing,and then promotes R& D and independent innovation,design,manufacturing,marketing,brand and after-sales service through product path,process path,function path.And through the development of new energy vehicles to achieve the entire value chain upgrade,and finally achieve the goal of building a global value chain.Finally,according to the current situation,empirical analysis and case study results,and in view of the global value chain in China’s auto industry upgrading problems,summed up the path suitable for China’s auto industry upgrading. |
