Rapid urbanization has given birth to a fast-paced,high-intensity,and modern urban life away from nature.Work and life pressures have gradually increased the prevalence of chronic diseases among the urban population.According to relevant health survey data, insufficient physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle are important reasons for the onset of chronic diseases. And the level of physical activity is correlated with the risk of various diseases.Community public space is an important carrier for residents’ daily life and social communication. And it is also the most convenient and accessible place for residents. The quality of community public space directly affects residents’ willingness, frequency and duration of physical activity. However, the current public spaces of old urban communities generally have problems such as serious private construction and chaotic construction, cramped activity spaces, dilapidated facilities, insufficient greening, and poor management. The renewal of old communities under the background of "Urban Double Renovations" also focuses on infrastructure.Starting with renewal and landscape greening and beautification, there are problems such as the one-sided pursuit of greening rate compliance, the emphasis on visual aesthetics of the landscape, and the lack of human scale in the place. The promotion effect on physical activities is insufficient, and the human activities and the environment of the site have not been resolved. Therefore, creating a community public space that can promote residents’physical activities, and then realizing active environmental intervention for residents’health is an important task for the micro-renewal of the public space in the old urban communities in our country.Through literature review and summarization, this paper divides residents’physical activities into five types:walking activities, sports activities, static leisure activities, dynamic entertainment activities, and production and life activities. The landscape element system composed of one target layer, three element categories, and ten elements.Taking the Zhengzhou NO.3 State-owned Textile Factory Community as a case, conducting field surveys of public spaces, collecting site landscape element data and residents’physical activity characteristics. Then use cluster analysis, correlation analysis and other statistics to explore the community public space landscape elements that affect residents’ physical activities. Finally, propose a community public space landscape optimization strategy suitable for residents’physical activities. The results are as follows:(1)The type of community public space has a greater impact on users’ physical activities;the green space enclosure, number of trees, shrub area, number of marking facilities and other landscape elements are highly correlated with residents’ willingness to perform physical activities;(2)The open and accessible public space with abundant plants and complete identification facilities is attractive to residents;the number of trees, shrub area, plant species, number of fitness facilities and other factors have a significant relationship with the types of residents’ physical activity.(3)Taking the Zhengzhou NO.3 State-owned Textile Factory Community as an example, this paper proposes a design plan and strategy for the micro-renewal of community public space around the key elements that affect residents’ physical activities, which can provide a reference for the construction of the landscape environment of the old urban communities in our country.
