Research On Micro-renovation Design Of Public Activity Space In Old Communities In Guangzho

The early construction of old communities did not consider the need for outdoor public activity spaces,and residents had a poor outdoor experience.With the increasing demand for outdoor communication and activities,it is urgent to carry out micro renovation of public activity spaces in old communities.In view of this,the article takes the micro renovation design of public activity spaces in Zhinan Community in Guangzhou as an example and explores its micro renovation design methods.Firstly,the article combines examples of micro renovation of public activity spaces in old communities both domestically and internationally,draws on relevant theories of micro renovation of public activity spaces in old communities,analyzes the characteristics of residents’ activities in community public activity spaces,summarizes the comprehensive elements of public activity spaces,and determines the goals and methods of micro renovation design for public activity spaces in old communities.Secondly,the study analyzed and sorted out the current situation of public activity spaces in Zhinan Community through on-site research and other methods,summarized the problems in public activity spaces and their impact on residents’ activities,and based on this,combined with relevant theories,proposed design principles.At the same time,in response to the specific problems of different public activity spaces and the needs of residents and other users,micro renovation design methods are proposed from the spatial functions,facility types,community culture,and community landscape,and specific design points are proposed.Finally,this article takes the micro renovation design of public activity spaces in Zhinan Community,Guangzhou as a practical case to conduct an overall demonstration,verifying the feasibility of the micro renovation design method in the public activity spaces of old communities,and providing reference and support for future research and practice on the micro renovation design of public activity spaces in old communities.
