Protection And Utilization Of Ancient Villages Under The Strategy Of Rural Revitalization

The protection and utilization of ancient villages is an important part of constructing a new pattern of rural revitalization,as well as an important part of carrying forward Chinese excellent traditional culture and remolding rural cultural ecology.In September 2018,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Village Revitalization Strategic Plan(2018-2022),which clearly listed historical and cultural villages and traditional villages as characteristic protected villages that built a new pattern of rural revitalization,and to “attract social forces,implement the ‘rescue the old house’ action,carry out the rural heritage inn demonstration project,explore new ways to use ancient villages and ancient dwellings,and promote the protection and revitalization of ancient villages” as an important part of the major project of cultural prosperity.Further research on the protection and utilization of ancient villages is of both theoretical and practical significance.Based on the above background,this study takes the action of “rescue the old house” in Songyang County as an example,and based on the theory of heritage activation,analyzes and summarizes the achievements and problems of the action of “rescue the old house” in Songyang County by investigating the implementation sites of ancient villages in Sandu Township and Sidu township of Songyang County.From the survey of ancient villages,the local government lacks long-term development plans to reshape the rural cultural ecology.The foundation on which aborigines used to live in rural areas has changed,as well as the lack of educational resources for children.It is not obvious for aborigines to return home and starttheir own businesses after emigration,and relevant supporting conditions for the protection and utilization of ancient villages need to be improved.To solve these problems,the key lies in returning to humanism,taking the indigenous people as the core,respecting objective laws and making objective evaluation of the survival and development of ancient villages.Specifically,we should optimize and improve the human resources investment,improve the efficiency of grassroots participation,formulate sustainable protection and utilization plans,and improve the supporting infrastructure,so as to improve the sustainability of the protection and utilization of ancient villages,reshape the rural cultural ecology,and boost the rural revitalization.
