With the rapid development of urban and rural integration construction, the rural economy has a high speed. Now our country’s beautiful rural construction successfully transforms into a new mode of harmonious construction. After the 20 th National Congress of the CPC proposed for the first time the construction of a livable and viable rural harmony, the first central document made detailed deployment of the construction of rural Harmony, and proposed that the construction of rural Harmony is an important part of the realization of high-quality rural life and an important task of the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. This policy fully reflects the importance of the country to rural construction. In this context, the protection of historical villages and ancient rural buildings has been paid more and more attention, but there are still many cultural villages and ancient rural buildings due to the lack of hardware facilities, changes in traditional concepts and other reasons, resulting in the "hollowing out" of villages and ancient buildings abandoned and dilapidated. How to protect ancient buildings and the traditional culture they carry has become an important part of the new path of modernization development. This paper obtains research data through field investigation, oral history, experience summary and case analysis, and finds the basis for theoretical analysis of building activation,so as to find the path of modernization of Liangtanggong Temple in Daling Village--activation.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction, which expounds the research background, main research content and research status at home and abroad. The second part is the second chapter, which summarizes the related theories of Hemei Village, ancient building activation and ancestral temple activation, and analyzes the value of ancestral temple activation. The third part is Chapter 3 and Chapter 4,summarizing and refining the geographical location, historical evolution, current layout, history and culture of Daling Village and Liangtanggong Temple in Panyu District,Guangzhou, and analyzing the existing problems; The fourth part is the fifth chapter, which classiifies the activated cases of ancient buildings into two types: architectural carrier activation and subsequent activation and utilization, carries out horizontal comparative analysis, summarizes the commonalities of their success and experiences that can be used for reference, and combines the existing problems of Daling Village and Liangtang public Temple to convert the activation theory into specific strategies and implement them in the design. Finally, this paper explores the activation design of ancient buildings.Taking Daling Village,Panyu,Guangzhou as an example,on the one hand, relevant theories of the activation of ancient buildings are studied to make them more targeted. Then, through the on-site investigation and analysis of Liangtanggong Temple in Daling ancient Village, problems such as capital, property rights and sense of identity that lead to the gradual decline of ancient buildings are summarized. On the other hand, based on the existing successful cases,it proposes to excavate the historical culture and architectural characteristics of villages, carry out the open display design by restoring the old as the old, rationally arranging the streamline and letting the ancient buildings breathe, and make reasonable planning for the follow-up development of the ancient buildings after activating the design,so as to increase the diverse experience of rural culture. It will help the development of culture and tourism in Daling Village from the aspects of economy, culture and life, and on the basis of realizing the construction of Hemi village,it will be helpful to the activation design of other ancient buildings.
