The rapid development of LED lighting enterprises in China has accerlated the global competition and polarization of LED lighting market.How to maintain or expand the enterprise advantage in the increasingly cruel competitive environment becomes the problem that enterpreneurs think.Establishing and maintaining the core competitiveness of enterprise can enhance the bargaining chip of enterprise winning.However,the product manufacturing process of GE lighting enterprise adopts the business outsourcing mode to be completed by OEM suppliers,so improving the quality management ability of OEM suppliers is an important link to ensure the core competitiveness of GE lighting.The supplier quality management in LED new product introduction phase is the key step to improve the quality management of OEM suppliers and realize product quality strategies of GE.If GE began to implement one competitive supplier quality management strategy from the LED new product introduction phase,and setting up corresponding advanced quality management methods and processes,it can significantly reduce the potential quality risk of product quality management,and reduce the quality defect occurrence probability during mass production;It can improve the efficiency of OEM supplier feedback quality information once GE rationalize the product quality requirements in the new product introduction phase;At the same time,if GE starts to supervise OEM suppliers to apply appropriate quality management tools and procedures from the phase of NPI,it will set up the solid foundation for the quality management of products during the subsequent mass production.In this paper,it regarded the supplier quality management activities in the process of NPI of GE LED as the research object.It applied PPAP and PDCA management method reshape quality management framework of LED products in OEM suppliers.It reengineered product quality management process of OEM suppliers.The author adopted the questionnaire and process analysis method to systematically analyze and further study the supplier quality management status in new product introduction phase of GE LED.Refer to five core tools of TS16949,SIX SIGMA and TQM concept,a complete set of concise and modular supplier quality management optimization strategy is proposed.According to on-site quality data and executive actual cases,it also presented the differences of OEM supplier quality management before and after improved.Thesis introduced the new product development process of GE LED and relevant supplier quality management problems in different phase of NPI.It analyzed the root causes and made optimization strategies of supplier quality management.It presented the improved effect after implemented optimization strategy through an LED NPI project.It also verified the product quality status after improved.The main innovation point of this paper is to comb out one set of supplier advanced quality management tools and process which is suitable for OEM suppliers in the new product introduction phase.Through the management means of training and supervision,the concise and modular supplier quality management tools enabled OEM suppliers to clearly understand and implement the product quality requirement during the NPI phase.It also provided the strong guarantee to the quality management of OEM suppliers in the mass production stage.It has some guiding significance and reference for the supplier quality management of OEM suppliers in the same industry.
