| Since the 21 st century,with the development of economic and population growth,Human activities continue to deepen the development and utilization of land resources,and the scope of influence continues to expand.Natural landscapes dominated by vegetation and soil are gradually replaced by houses,roads,and bridges with reinforced concrete structures.The intensity of land use continues to increase,and the structure of land use is gradually out of balance,especially the sharp decline of agricultural land and ecological land,which has caused a huge obstacle to the healthy development of the human settlements.With the continuous advancement of the new-type urbanization centered on people,realizing the sustainable use of land resources,improving the efficiency of urban space utilization and improving the urban human settlements has become the top priority of my country’s future urban development.In addition,the outbreak of COVID-19 has also made people feel more deeply about the importance of the human settlement environment.The improvement of the human settlements in the future will be the general trend of the whole society.As a two-oriented social reform pilot zone,there are still many shortcomings in the land use and human settlements construction of the Wuhan Metropolitan Area.Therefore,studying the coupling and coordination relationship between the land use intensity and the human settlement environment of the Wuhan Metropolitan Area has important practical significance for guiding urban construction,rational use of land,and building a beautiful human settlement.After sorting out relevant research results at home and abroad,this study analyzes the interaction between land use intensity and human settlements guided by theories of man-land relationship,sustainable development theory,system theory,etc.And constructs an evaluation index system for land use intensity and human settlements.The land use intensity and human settlements of Wuhan Metropolitan Area from 2011-2018 were evaluated,and the characteristics and trends of their changes were analyzed.On this basis,the coupling and coordination degree of the two systems and their changes are analyzed,and the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The land use intensity of Wuhan city circle is showing an upward trend year by year.In terms of specific cities,Wuhan and Ezhou occupy the top two places in terms of land use intensity throughout the year.The four cities of Tianmen,Huangshi,Xianning,and Huanggang are due to the low degree of urbanization and the continuous decrease of the permanent population,resulting in insufficient development and utilization of land and other resources,and the intensity of land use is lower than the average of Wuhan city circle all year round.Level.(2)The level of human settlements in Wuhan city circle as a whole and in each city is showing an upward trend.As Wuhan’s economic and social development level is far ahead of other cities,its human settlement environment is still ranked first all year round,but its ecological environment is poor.In particular,scores are low in indicators such as green coverage in built-up areas,the percentage of days with good air quality,and regional environmental noise.The human settlements in Xianning has improved significantly,rising from the sixth place in 2011 to the second place in 2018.Although Ezhou,Xiantao,and Qianjiang have a relatively high overall human settlement environment,they are relatively weak in terms of infrastructure and need to be further improved.Xiaogan and Tianmen lag behind in the construction of human settlement environment,which is lower than the average level of Wuhan city circle all year round.(3)During the entire study period,the coordinated development of the cities in the Wuhan urban circle surpassed the six stages of moderate dissonance,mild dissonance,barely coordination,primary coordination,intermediate coordination,and advanced coordination,and the coordination of each city showed steady progress.rising trend.As of 2018,the coordination degree of all cities in the Wuhan city circle has reached more than barely coordination.Among them,Wuhan is the high-level coordination,Ezhou and Qianjiang are the intermediate coordination,Xiaogan,Xiantao,and Tianmen are in the primary coordination,and Huangshi,Huanggang,and Xianning are in the barely coordination stage.(4)The coordinated development status of Wuhan city circle has two types: synchronous development and lagging development of land use intensity.Among them,the four cities of Wuhan,Ezhou,Qianjiang,and Tianmen have been in a state of synchronous development from beginning to end.Xiaogan has successfully transitioned from the lagging development of land use intensity in the previous two years to synchronous development.Xiantao has experienced the process of lagging development of land use intensity → synchronous development → lagging development of land use intensity,Huangshi,Huanggang Xianning has been in a state of lagging development of land use intensity.Based on the research conclusions of this study,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed:(1)Wuhan should take measures such as adopt a monitoring mechanism for the discharge and treatment of waste pollutants,accelerate the promotion of a garbage classification system,encourage green travel,introduce incentive policies to promote the development of new energy industries,increase the rate of urban greening,reduce exhaust emissions,and optimize air to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization and protect the ecological environment.(2)Huangshi,Huanggang,and Xianning should speed up the implementation of urban renewal,promote industrial transformation and upgrading,increase the attractiveness of the population,strengthen the intensive use of land,and increase the intensity of land use.(3)Xiaogan and Tianmen should vigorously develop the economy,improve social security and public services,solve the employment and education problems of residents,and improve the people’s material living standards and happiness.(4)Ezhou,Xiantao,and Qianjiang should speed up the transformation of urban infrastructure,increase the overall carrying capacity of the city,and meet the basic needs of residents’ life and urban operation.(5)Establish and improve the cooperation and mutual promotion mechanism between cities,strengthen the effect of urban agglomeration,and promote the realization of high-quality development of cities. |
